I'd really like to submit an honest review to help others, but being so heavily trauma-bonded as result of my experience it would likely be a confusing public post. Anyone interested in what it's like to pursue healthcare at this facility should contact me personally and I'll do my best to explain my experience. My best advice, is don't get sick or hurt in Union County Oregon, and demand the flight ambulance if you find yourself in the ER.

Actually, last year I had a very good experience with GRH. however, another problem has developed. GRH is not an in network hospital with Humana Insurance. I am not here to bad mouth Humana. From what I understand, they do not have a shining reputation. My problem with GRH is they donu2019t seem to care about the problem they are creating for seniors. This pertains to all seniors who have a medicare advantage in Wallowa and Union counties. This is also directed to all the doctors in the area that remain out of network. Now seniors are faced with the possibility of thousands of dollars in increased costs. Remember the vast majority of people on medicare advantage are retired.nWhat comes across is the fact that GRH refuses to join up with Humana, is they donu2019t care about the public they serve. It would be one thing if seniors were given a choice on MA plans, but we are not. Humana is the only option for us.nIt is my hope that the hospital and doctors rethink what they are doing to the public they serve.nI see GRH has not responded to this post. Kinda sad.

Have a toe that is infected, walk in clinic said its cellulitis and possible gangrene. Go make an appointment to see the wound clinic ASAP. Great. Call to make an appointment was told that they are booked up this week. Explained it was infected and smells. Was told again they are booked up this week. Is this the normal for LA Grande? Unbelievable.nnHere are pictures of my toe

just nownNewnMy family member was seen on Jan10th 2025 at the ER. Blood work was done and the Doctor on shift sent her home with Tylenol and said to contact her primary. Fast forward to Jan 12th 2025 she went back in with the same symptoms. The Doctor on shift thankfully did more in depth tests and blood work. After he got the results she was told that she would be going home. Right before she was ready to leave the doctor came in and said he had just actually looked at the blood test results and compared them to the previous visit. (After a nurse brought it to his attention) and she needed to stay for further testing. Those tests revealed a potentially life threatening problem and she was life flighted to Boise for treatment and will remain there for the next few days. It's very concerning that the doctor did not look and compare tests right away and almost sent her home with no treatment. PLEASE if you need medical care avoid this hospital until they are able to get doctors that take patient care more seriously and the hospital starts holding staff accountable for situations like this.

The only way to access your doctors is through mychart and if youu2019re not tech friendly theyu2019re going to give you the run around. If you call the number to get help they give you an automated voicemail and when you ask for an operator, they wonu2019t call you back. Good healthcare should be for everyone. Not just those who know how to use the new technology.
