On August 7, 2024 I had an urgent need to see a doctor. I went to the Granite City Urgent Care walk-in clinic. I was greeted at the front desk and they had my records from a long time ago. They were familiar with my insurance and co-pay. I sat down and it was only about 15 minutes before I was called back to the exam room. Dr. Alecia took care of me. She was kind, friendly, and compassionate. She called in my medicine to my pharmacy and it was ready within an hour. I had a very pleasant experience there and highly recommend them if you have a medical issue.

These people have no clue how to run veterans insurance!! I've been seen there 3 times under the same insurance this year, all billed the exact same way! I tried to explain numerous times that the Veterans Association accepts billing up to 72 hours after the visit. 4 people at this facility, ALL CLUELESS. I tried explaining to them how to do their job which they took offense to and refused to treat my daughter and I. They then refused to treat me as a pay out of pocket patient. The urgent care in collinsville had no problem running my insurance.nWhat a joke the granite city facility is!

You can never get through during the day. The phone rings and rings, then someone disconnects. If they do answer, they put you on hold for 20 to 25 mins until you finally hang up. If they are so swamped that bad customer service is the norm, they need to hire more people and re evaluate their career choices. And this is just the beginning of the issues I've had with them. They don't call you back when they say they will, nothing about this experience has been easy. Now I just need paperwork for my employer and they say I have to get out from the portal. They haven't been able to send me the link for some reason, I have to keep calling to let them know I still haven't gotten it, but I can't get someone to answer the phone!

These people canu2019t answer their phones to save a life, yet anytime Im here I just see them goofing off up front talking to each other. When they do answer by some small miracle, Iu2019m automatically put on hold without even being asked if that was okay. u2018Urgentu2019 care means waiting 30min on the phone and no answer here. Or being disconnected, or overall ignored. I just need a covid test so I guess Iu2019ll be walking in, and everyone better hope Im not positive because I canu2019t get anyone on the phone to minimize contact.

Brought my nephew in due to being sick. He is terrifed of being checked for Covid (bad experience in the past.) The nurse comforted him, and did not hurt him at all. Love their Doctor also. Great personality!!! Will come back in the future.
