Had a robotic assisted bariatric surgery procedure done on 1/22/25 . The procedure produced no side effects , like nausea , vomiting , bleeding , etc . All staff and surgeons were top notch and service was excellent . I would recommend this facility and staff to anyone . In two months I am down roughly 60 -65 pounds , and roughly 75 pounds since I started the process in 2024 . Hats off to Dr. Bilderback for doing a top notch job ! Definitely a gold standard facility .

Doctors and nursing staff was great when my husband had 2 surgeries. The billing department on the other hand is extremely horrible!nnEvery time we had test, appointments and the surgeries we told them u201cThis is a work comp claim, DO NOT BILL MY INSURANCEu201d. They have all the information for the work comp claim to file the paperwork.nnHis last surgery was in October and we are still getting bills to be paid. Even though they have been told multiple times, they still keep running through my insurance and billing us what it doesnu2019t pay. NONE OF IT should be going under my insurance and work comp pays it all if they would bill correctly!nnI shouldnu2019t have to keep calling and telling them to bill it to work comp and stop billing my insurance.nnMaybe itu2019s time to call a lawyer!

Saw Abby Flanagan for perimenopause symptoms. I had hoped that with her being around my age that she would understand & want to help. Not the case. She didn't listen to a word I said, proceeded to tell me that I was fine, that 'no self-respecting clinic would prescribe HRT', then proceeded to send me home with what she considered good options. They included 2 ted talks on the origins of sex, books for both my husband & I to read...his was geared towards the idea that clearly he was doing something wrong, mine were all suggesting that because I have no libido & am exhausted all the time, clearly that means I'm planning to have an affair ud83dude44. She stated everything was fine with my blood work (it wasn't), she also said that HRT would cause increase risks of heart attack or stroke. When I brought up that every birth control & prescription I've ever been given carried the same risks, she didn't have much to say. Her nurses were equally horrible. Don't waste you time or your money on her. She doesn't listen or care about this stage of your life. Drs need to get with the program.

The OBGYN department and emergency department are a joke. They make you feel like you are a bother and that you should praise them for even being able to be seen by them. If you are pregnant or going to be pregnant do not come to this u201chospitalu201d

I was transferred to Allen from Grinnell Regional hospital as they didn't have gastroenterology and I needed a procedure they could not provide at Grinnell. I was treated with kindness and respect by ALL the staff despise my alcoholism. Doctors, Nurses, and techs were respectful and kind. I am a nurse myself and know I would not have gotten this treatment in Des Moines or Iowa City. Very grateful for the care I got and the tranfer to a higher level of care for the services they could not safely provide. Keep up the great work. I am an alcoholic and my detox needs were met beyond expectations and my addiction did not cause me to have poor care that I have experienced elsewhere. I am very grateful for Grinnell Regional and the excellent care they provided me and my significant other. Happy to have quality and CARING care.close to home.
