I spent the better part of 4-5 days in ICU & another 5 days OK a u201cstepdownu201d floor after suffering non traumatic Rhabdomyolysis. I REFUSED to go to the ER. Partially because I thought I was just dehydrated and partially because I saw so many 1 & 2 star reviews on Google.nEventually, I went to a Trinity affiliated Urgent Care where I was treated like I was somebody the the P.A. truly cared about. She was very professional but I could also sense the concern for me when she explained she couldnu2019t run all of the necessary tests in her office to determine why there was such a sudden change in my health. Her obvious concern for me was enough for me to reluctantly go to Trinity ER. The PA called ahead so the ER knew I was coming.nnIu2019ll truly say that getting a room in the ER was not my favorite experience as there was some wait time and some moving around - Iu2019d youu2019ve been there, you too, probably had the chance to learn the alphabet again as you were moved from A to B to C - but those letters indicated progress to me - there were some sick and injured people in that waiting room (and some annoying people that APPEARED to me to just want attention but thatu2019s just my opinion) - ALSO, who am I to believe I deserve a bed and room before others in the waiting area?nnThe bottom line is this - Muskegon has one hospital now. They appear to be understaffed at times - OR maybe they are over run with people that use the ER as their own med stop rather than for its intended purpose - immediate EMERGENCY care. Does Trinity have a perfect situation? But when a guy like me with a poor preconceived idea of what I was going to experience looks up to see an ER doc, Internal medicine doc and a nephrologist all standing at my bedside at the same time, taking turns explaining to me that I may have permanently damaged or even destroyed my kidneys by working my body too hard but they were going to do everything they could to get me to return to a normal life - I forgot all of the people who gave Trinity one or 2 stars because of a couple small things they didnu2019t. Like.nnI could write a short book on the amazing people that took care of me from the lab employee named Darius (that I hope to never meet on a wrestling mat) - who was part of the crew that drew my blood every 4 hours - As Darius carried on a nice, friendly conversation, while also explaining every move he made he successfully got my blood & was done before I knew he started. One of the most painless needle pokes I have ever experienced.nnI donu2019t have room heer to name every amazing staff member I met while I was there but because of them I was able to recover to attend my daughters Graduation from Muskegon Community College 4 days later.nnI would very much like to talk to somebody from Trinity because there are many more doctors and nurses, PCAu2019s & even housekeeping by staff that need to be recognized by the Administration of Trinity

If there was negative number I would give this hospital it. I understand how hospitals work and that there are wait time. But when your told by one person that they have been there since 3 it makes you wonder. On top of that to see a women laying on the floor and the staff just wheel people around her is unexpectedly. Then being told that the ER waiting room couldn't have blankets to cover her up is outrageous. I will never come to this hospital again

Had 2 (out of 9) births here. The hospital worked hard to accommodate me. They were very calm, communicative, and respectful, especially the nurses. On the second one they were a little on the nervous side, but they were still pretty good about not pushing interventions and letting me set the pace of my labor.

My fiancu00e9s grandfather was hospitalized and unfortunately passed away here. During the stay, many nurses from all walks of life would come in and either were very helpful and friendly or were there to collect a paycheck.nA nurse named Mallory would come into his room and each time she did it was with a smile and readiness to help not only him but always asked if we needed anything.nnMallory-if you see this, please never change!! It truly makes a difference to see a happy kind face during a dark time. Thank you so much for all you did for my fiances family and I'm sure many other families!! I pray God blesses you 10 fold and protects you all the days of your life. ud83eudd0du271dufe0fud83eudd0d

Brought my mom into the ER at Trinity tonight. Follow up to her being here on Tuesday for a uti.nGot here at 6pm.nAll nurses and triage team were unfriendly and rude.nThe guy who came in to draw blood didnu2019t listen to her when she stated to do the other arm because the arm was used the last time and was badly bruisedu2026. He instead using the back of her hand to draw blood and it hurt and made her flinch and gasp in pain.nFinally was given a roomu2026 took 45 mins to have anyone come inu2026nThe resident dr came in and stated many times that it looks like the previous antibiotics werenu2019t workingu2026. Like nooooo really!!!!nAnd then told us that someone told him false information from her chart about a transplanted kidney from her recent surgery ( was 100% false).nAll in all, no one cares, no was tries to go above and beyond and now people (nurses and drs) apparently canu2019t read a chart.nThis is ridiculous. Trinity is horrible and donu2019t care. And I donu2019t recommend coming here for anything
