Just left from there bc my 5 year old daughter had a reaction to a vaccine she had gotten a few days ago. Every single person that we came in contact with from the receptionist, security in the waiting room, triage, and nurses and Dr in the back were absolutely amazing. They made my daughter feel more comfortable and took great care of her and were very genuine. Much appreciated!

Iu2019m almost 73, & Iu2019ve NEVER experienced what happened in the Lab this morning. First off, I had an ultrasound & the nurse was extremely polite while doing her job. After my ultrasound, nurse escorted me around to Lab. Nurse told Lab my name, etc. I waited 45 minutes which thatu2019s not what upset me. A Lab tech finally came & got me & apologized for the wait. BUT, it was the ONE LAB TECH who attempted to draw my blood. She couldnu2019t get it first time, SO she hastily put everything down & said, I gotta take a break.u2019 She just left me sitting in Lab & left the area. Supervisor & another tech came in & supervisor drew my blood. She was so sweet. I fully understand people have bad days, but you just donu2019t do what happened to me this morning. IMO, if she worked for the public & pulled something like that, I would have fired her immediately!! When/If I have to go back Lab & that walk off tech even thinks sheu2019s going to stick me, Iu2019ll be yelling NO, NOT EVER AGAIN.

Me and my wife were traveling through and unfortunately got extremely sick. The staff here immediately took us back to a room, grabbed us warm blankets and were so fast to get I.Vu2019s , scans and more. Everyone here was beyond kind, caring, and thoughtful to our situation. The doctor that does the scans was such a delight and our nurse Rebecca and Kristen were super sweet and tried their hardest to cheer us up just a little bit (it worked). Highly recommend to everyone!!

They say things happen for a reason. My Dad ended up having to go to Ochsner Medical Center - Hancock. Being in healthcare for 20 years and having worked in the hospital system 15 + years I know good compassionate care when I see it. Every single person from the moment my Dad was brought in until his last breath was exceptional. Every nurse (Madeline, Gerri, Austin, Robin, Amber) and patient care tech (Jasmine), Case Manager (Jane), respiratory therapy, occupational therapy and the doctor (Dr. K) were so gentle and caring. They gave us hugs and words of comfort. One thing we were really shocked and impressed with was on our first night. Our night shift nurse came in and told us they had placed a table with some snacks and coffee outside of the room for us to have while we were there. When we went outside the room to take a look we were expecting just snacks and coffee but instead were surprised by this beautiful display that brought us to tears. It was so thoughtful and made us feel welcomed and that they really cared. The next morning one of the nurses (Gerri) even brought us breakfast that she must have paid for on her own. The doctor was very gentle, straight forward and not arrogant or in a rush each time he came to see Dad. He was very kind in his words and helped us to feel the best we could about our decisions. They never rushed us and gave us all the time we needed. The clergy that came to pray for us were also kind and understanding. It's a small hospital but those can often be the best because it's more like a family and we felt it. So this is our shout out to the amazing staff at Oschner Hancock Medical. Thank you all for being so compassionate and caring at the most difficult time. It means the world.

I would give the nurses, techs, staff who run tests, cafeteria, cleaning staff, etc u2b50u2b50u2b50u2b50u2b50nBut I'm going to stay clear of this medical facility unless I need stitches. My friend had a stroke!!! He was admitted for two nights. A lovely young Dr. DeChamp saw him the night he was in ER. That same night my friend was moved to a room where a Dr never laid hands on him. He saw a Dr the last day virtually!!! How can someone be sent home after a stroke without being examined by a Dr?? Communication was poor. Carol took great care of my friend. Thank you Carol and others who care about patients. What you did made up for the lack of a physician.
