Silver Cross is an excellent hospital. Over the past year, my mom spent a total of 12 weeks there, and the care she received was outstanding. The doctors, nurses, and CNAs were all compassionate and truly cared about their patients. Every visit, they treated my mom with kindness and respect. Dr. Shahbain and Ivana are exceptional hospitalists who assembled a great team of doctors to assess and manage my mom's health. They were thorough and genuinely looked out for her well-being. Dr. Agha and Jane went above and beyond, providing excellent care and a clear course of action. The staff from the Heart Care Centers were knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Chadha put my mom's pacemaker in last year, and she continued to see him for follow-ups regarding that and her Afib. When my mom made the decision to enter hospice care, it was incredibly touching that so many nurses, CNAs, and doctors stopped by to say goodbye before she left the hospital. I highly recommend Silver Cross Hospital for their outstanding level of care and compassion.

Yesterday I had my first ever surgery. Dr sharma and his staff did an amazing job!. I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the Nurses (Bobbi and Georgina), and the CNAs (Savannah and Jenifer) for their amazing care while I spent the night recovering from my surgery. Savannah and Jenifer are the most personable CNAs Iu2019ve ever had the pleasure of being taken care of by. Keep up the great work ladies, you guys make a difficult recovery more bearable!.

My uncle was recently in there. Upon entering, they inventoried all of his personal belongings and locked them in a cabinet. I've never heard of this before!! He asked for them back, and they gave him a hard time about it. He wasn't even able to have his pants! He obviously let them know he wanted his stuff back in no uncertain terms, but it did not matter to them! This is just so foreign to me to hear how they can treat patients. It doesn't seem ethical or legal. He was a fall risk, but by the time he left, they told him he had to walk out with no option of a wheelchair! Just no bedside manner whatsoever!

So I decided to come to silver cross because I thought it would be better than st. Joseph hospital but no I came at 10:30 got checked in and around 12:30 I got registered and now waiting. But before I got here I seen it full and the people that were here before me are still waiting to be call now it 1:00 pm n nothing but we all know that nurses go on break n doctors too so now the waiting begins all I see is nurses walking back n forth security just sitting n walking like nothing. I do understand that they are trying but are they realy. I thought silver would be quick but it is worse than st. Joseph Hospital the nurse in st. Joseph tell all the people to come here that it would be faster. N here we are coming this way not knowing that they have all the emergency from Joliet I just wish they would try there nurses better so the could be happy and thriving for there job we are already coming being hurt or sick make our waiting at least better donu2019t ignored us come walk n make sure that the people that have been waiting for hours I been here for 2 in half hours n nobody has come to say sorry for the wait I am sorry but for being a hospital that gets sponsee n has all kinds of person donating why is the hospital short staff are we not paying our nurses right. Remember a happy nurse does a good job with a smile I feel like if I am in a funeral every time I talk to a nurse I donu2019t like it silver cross do better if not we need another hospital between Joliet n Lockport

My baby was born in this hospital. The nurses were incredible. Dr. Thomas Kazmierczak, who performed my C-section, was the best. I put everything in God's hands and in His. My only flaw was that, when they discharged my baby and me, they didn't help us with the car seat. We didn't know how to position it or how to lock it. If I had wanted to leave the hospital without a car seat, she wouldn't have cared. If it weren't for that nurse, everything would have been wonderful.
