I sought care at the beginning of October 2024 for fever, chills, body aches, congestion, and severe cough. They tested me for flu, strep, and Covid. All came back negative. The provider literally shrugged and said she didnu2019t know what was wrong with me. She stated it could be pneumonia. She then wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic and told me to begin taking it if I didnu2019t start feeling better in the next week. At no point did I receive a chest x-ray, regardless of the severity of my cough along with all the other symptoms. When I did not improve, I began taking said antibiotics and scheduled an appointment with my GP. At that appointment, a week later, the x-ray revealed pneumonia in both lungs. This required two different types of antibiotics plus a steroid inhaler and serious discussions of being admitted to the hospital. I did not begin feeling improvements until the beginning of November. All because this urgent care didnu2019t do a chest x-ray. So if you are sick and your provider shrugs and says she doesnu2019t know whatu2019s wrong with you, immediately get a second opinion.

I had a bad cut that would not stop bleeding. They took me in immediately. Mallory and Darryl were very thorough and efficient in getting me ready to see the Nurse Practitioner. I felt immediately at ease. Emily Yount was the Nurse Practitioner that I saw and she was excellent. Taking care to explain what needed to be done and involving me in the decision making progress.nWhat impressed me most was that everyone there seemed to care about my well being and doing their job well. All three were calm and had a good sense of humor through the whole process. I definitely would go there again.

The first time I went I was sick as a dog the receptionist sorta ignored me said it would be a 2 hour wait so we made a appointment came back at 2.00 waited finally got to see PA she was very good and I get my medicine , in a week still not feeling well so I called to make a appointment and was told you can't make a appointment I would have to make 2 trips again and when it's cold and you are sick you don't need to have to be out 2 times. I think things need to change

There was literally two people in the waiting room and they don't close until 7:00 and the lady at the desk turned my child away and said we could get an appointment for tomorrow or we could go to Mills River. Because she had people waiting since 1:00. It was 4:30. That's the second time I've been to that place and then turn me away, the one in Fletcher will tell you at 6:00 that they can't see you last time I went there they said that they didn't have enough staff to see me so if you're looking for urgent Care just know you may have a run around and in that time you could be seen at the hospital

This immediate care center is amazing. From check in to all the nurses and nurse practitioner. They took great care of my 12 year old while we were traveling from out of town and treated her as if she was their own. Nice to know healthcare like this still exists.
