Visited this urgent care to check for strep. Arrived about 20 mins after they opened and was greeted by a friendly staff member whou2019d advised to stay in my car based on my symptoms and theyu2019d give me a call when ready. After about a solid hour wait, someone from their medical staff called to check in and ask about what was going on, and shortly after our call came to my car to swab for strep, flu and covid. I remained in my car until the results were all negative, at which point I was brought in to see the nurse practitioner. All in all it was roughly two hours total time. The friendly staff made up for the wait so I will definitely return in the future.

I entered the clinic and explained that based on my symptoms I believed I had a sinus infection. I did not exhibit any symptoms associated with Covid 19. The clinic had me wait outside in my car and fill out online forms. I was then told that Iu2019d be contacted to enter the clinic and see the doctor. After approximately 30 minutes I was contacted by a nurse who began asking me about my symptoms then proceeded to tell that a u201cprovideru201d would meet me outside in the u201cparking lotu201d and conduct an evaluation while sitting in my car. I have never in my life been treated like an animal while seeking medical attention. I expressed my frustration with the front office clerk and she stated that was standard procedure for anyone suspected of having a respiratory infection. There are several urgent cares in the area that have a lobby and treat patients with a bit more dignity and respect . Henry Mayo has a horrible reputation in the SCV and now I unfortunately know why.

The wait was very reasonable and I saw a fantastic provider who diagnosed my problem and prescribed medication and I was out of there feeling very well taken care of.

My visit to the urgent care went very well. I was experiencing a sore throat and they took the necessary steps to ensure my safety as well as the safety of those in the waiting room and the office. Once I was cleared I was quickly seen by Dr. Jesse De La O, who is just fabulous. He walked me through my treatment options based on my diagnosis. He followed up the next day to see how I was doing as well.nnThe facilities are clean, convenient and easy to get to. I will be going to Henry Mayo Urgent Care when the need arises.
