A serious respiratory illness brought my wife to the ER and the staff was very helpful. The facilities are very modern and the doctors are quite knowledgeable. There was a bit of language barrier at times but there was usually someone to translate English if my Spanish was lacking.Update: Billing and Administration service is poor. After several weeks of waiting and having a difficult time getting in touch with anyone at the hospital, we still have not received an itemized bill describing all the charges...which were not cheap. They would not let us leave until we settled up, which is understandable, but they said they couldn't print out a receipt for us at that time and would email it to us...still waiting!

Dive boat accident, back of my head hit the dock just right and opened a 5-cm gash.Friends drove me to Cemesa ER and they took such good care of me !Twelve stitches, $500.00 and my USA insurance information was all it took.Blue Cross Federal covered the entire cost - about $1,500 total and applied the $500.00 as my deductible.PainlessWell except for the fall !Great Medical StaffSuper Clean and Modern FacilityFair and Reasonable CostThank you Cemesa !!

I took my father over a year ago to this hospital and received an awful service. First they did some X-ray and the technician was really rude with my father. My dad was very weak because of COVID and he collapsed during the X-ray and there was no nurse available to help him get back up. He is a 68 years old. He spent the night in the hospital and the bathroom from the suit was leaking water. I spent the night with him and woke up to a floor flooded with water. They didnu2019t moved us from room even though he was the only patient in the hospital that night. In the morning he got a rotten egg served for breakfast. In mainland Cemesa is a renowned hospital but in Roatan is 100% trash. I am never going to cu00e9mesa again. I donu2019t recommend this hospital to anyone and my father says he rather die than going back to this place again.

What a fantastic hospital. During our vacation back in March, my 8 year old son's hand was very swollen, to the point where I knew it wasn't normal. Took him to the local clinic and they said he would have to be admitted to hospital Cemesa immediately. Turns out he had a staph infection that had gone to his blood and needed antibiotics immediately through an I.V. He was admitted for 3 nights and during that time, the staff was very attentive, polite and very knowledgeable. They did the correct blood tests and gave him the proper antibiotics with the proper dosages, both during and after we left the hospital. Within the 1st day, you could already see his hand was healing. I was very thankful that I had medical coverage and which they helped to co-ordinate the claim with my insurance. I thank them for taking care of my little boy and ensuring he was comfortable, fed and taken care of until he was 100% ready to be discharged. Thank you Hospital Cemesa for all your honesty, professionalism, knowledge and attentiveness. I am very grateful. Keep up the great work.

It is an institution that lacks seriousness in terms of customer service, since it takes approximately one hour to say how much the service being quoted costs, and approximately two more hours to attend to the patient, of course, first of all they make the payment without saying that you have to wait more than two hours for the service. And if you want to cancel, IT IS NOT ALLOWED due to their policies which I requested and they refused to present them, and although this is a private institution, it is under an OBLIGATION to provide a service to the community that is in a HEALTH EMERGENCY
