Short wait time on a Sat eve , Dr Karyn E Jones was very caring & I got injected & prescription for my strep diagnosis speedily. She instructed me to go to the ER Sat nite if I was having difficult breathing from the significant swelling. On Sunday she called to check on me & instructed me to return if I wasnu2019t getting pain relief & decrease in swelling

It's hard sometimes to know when to go because the hours posted online and even on the door are not always correct. However, my husband and I have both been here and got good care when sick. We haven't ever had to wait more than 30 minutes and staff was always very kind. It's great if you are sick and can't get in to see your primary care physician.

Whoever it was that I saw I know I never saw an actual doctor didnu2019t want to listen to me when I told her there was puss built up where it was swelled she said no and next day at work coworker popped it and all the swelling went down and pain gone. I will never go there again Iu2019ll drive an extra hour to get real care and see real doctor since they probably billed my insurance as if I saw doctor

Check in was easy, Tracy the nurse sweet and caring. Nothing bad to say about her.nThe nurse practitioner walked into the room with an attitude. I could tell right away and so could my 20 year old son, she had no idea what she was saying and my other medical issues, that I was not there for, she had no medical knowledge about, with the questions she would ask. I only brought it up because her u201cmaybeu201ddx was impossible. This seemed to stop her in her tracks and she tuned out completely. She never asked some simple questions that raised a huge red flag and I told my son, I didnu2019t point it out, because if I have to do her job for her, I donu2019t want her treating me. I realized if she couldnu2019t have the nurse swab it and read a result to match a picture, she didnu2019t know. She has the knowledge equivalent to a teenager (same attitude) having a health class under their belt. Scary that she has that position. Testing well doesnu2019t mean you are right for the job if you donu2019t have a good bed side manner and your knowledge is minimal (donu2019t assume your patient isnu2019t quite medically versed themselves, and in this case knew more) it doesnu2019t work.

I was pretty sick when I went in on April 16. I was tested for strep throat & it was positive. I was prescribed antibiotics but they didnu2019t help so I went back in on the following Friday morning. Was told by Courtney that I should have never been tested for strep because I probably had Covid. Was tested for Covid & the flu and told to wait on my results. I was very sick by now but wasnu2019t given any medicine. After suffering all day I finally got the results back & they were both negative. I was told to go see a family practitioner or to the Emergency Room. This was late on Friday so I thought I was going to have to suffer until Monday. I got so bad on Saturday so I went to Fast Pace. I was diagnosed with strep that was almost into pneumonia. Luckily they knew what I needed & prescribed the proper medicine. I was better the next day. Vanderbilt urgent care didnu2019t really care. I will never go there again & would advise anyone who is sick to go somewhere where you will be treated properly
