Horrible service by dr Whittiny. Very unprofessional and sad that she doesnu2019t want to prescribe medication to help children feel better. Felt discriminated by this doctor. All other doctor give great care.

I am so lucky I found this Urgent Care in Panorama City that accepts MediCal insurance. They are my go-to place for minor issues because they already accommodated me way too many times before and provided an exceptional service every single time.nAll the staff are nice and they strictly observe social distancing.nAlthough there may be some wait time, when you are brought in to be seen, all their attention is on you and they will make sure that you are well taken care of.

Dr. T. Whiting does not know what sheu2019s doing. I told her, about my sore throat. In just 2 minutes, she prescribed antibiotics. I went home wandering if my swollen throat will lessen. I cannot even swallow. I called her, and she said, you can go over the counter. I ended up the same problem, I couldnu2019t sleep. And my cough was bothering me. Please donu2019t go to this doctor. If sheu2019s a real doctor.

TLDR: Terry the Physicanu2019s Assistant seems to be an absolute danger to pt safety. Iu2019d still go here but definitely ask to see another healthcare provider if they try giving you her. I wouldnu2019t trust her in diagnosing a cold.nnTerry, the Physicianu2019s Assistant (blonde elderly woman) is an absolute gem for keeping patient wait times low by refusing to do her job.nnI called ahead to see if they could see me for my specific issue, and their clinic manager told me to come in. When I arrived, the clinic was empty, front staff was nice.nnAs soon as I saw this lady, she began spewing misinformation, I donu2019t know if itu2019s because she didnu2019t want to work up an extra patient, or because she doesnu2019t understand medicine. I knew she was maliciously wrong or grossly negligent, and I suggested to her what tests are standard of care, which is when she began to absolutely berate me.nnI checked UpToDate (google for doctors) to give her the benefit of the doubt. Within 30 seconds I found a journal article that showed her medical knowledge was either severely lacking, or she just doesnu2019t want to do her job. Based on these other reviews, it seems like she just hates working here and takes it out on patients.nnAll other staff were kind. I would still recommend going here but definitely avoid the older blonde lady named Terry, the physicianu2019s assistant. (Physicanu2019s assistants can prescribe and diagnose, so sheu2019ll look like a doctor if you canu2019t see her name tag)

I feel bad making poor reviews, but if it helps someoneu2019s avoid discomfort, so be it.nDonu2019t go here if youu2019re queer and need help with anything related to sexual health. This place isnu2019t it, sis. Iu2019m sure Iu2019m not projecting my insecurities here. Iu2019ve been here a few times for testing, and Every time has made me very uncomfortable. Two stars only because ONE of the receptionists was kind in the past, but I think sheu2019s left them. ud83dude22nI understand there are protocols they must follow and that they have other patients, but their bedside manner is terrible. I always come feeling unwelcome. Iu2019m embarrassed communicating my problems at the front desk, and I leave feeling judged, dirty, and stupid. Other clinics are far more compassionate and understanding. The practitioner lady always makes me feel rushed, she barely speaks to me. One of my visits with her barely lasted longer than a minute. I know theyu2019re probably busy and it can be a stressful job, but It feels like their priority is getting people in and out as fast as they can. Definitely Felt like my health wasnu2019t really that much of a concern. Iu2019m sure theyu2019ll be relieved that Iu2019m not going back.nI called around and found three clinics elsewhere that were far more understanding, and even just on the phone they made me feel like my health was a priority. These other clinics assured me that I would be okay, and offered plan-based solutions to resolve my issue. They asked about my mental state. Imagine that.nBut this urgent care didnu2019t even ask how I felt. They were standoffish and couldnu2019t even check my insurance to see whether or not my tests would be covered. They didnu2019t offer any other viable options, clinics, or solutions that didnu2019t involve waiting another week till my symptoms are pronounced enough to treat.nIt didnu2019t matter what I said or what context I gave them. I felt unheard.nI just wanted help being healthy, but I felt like a burden to them.nnSo if youu2019re still reading, know that Your health DOES matter. You arenu2019t dirty or damaged if you need help. It is important to be informed about and empowered to protect your health. There are people out there who understand your needs, and concerns. Quality care comes with patience, compassion, and kindness. I believe that you can find the care you deserve.nnu2026But This location is definitely not the spot if youu2019re like me and thatu2019s what youu2019re looking for.nnIu2019m sure itu2019s a great place to go if youu2019re straight and just have a normal problem like a cough, though.nThey can help you with that.
