I had a great experience at KC Orthopedic Institute. I was a walk-in on a Sunday morning due to severe knee pain. I knew that going to the emergency room would take all day and result in a referral to an orthopaedic specialist, so I took a chance on this group. They were super. They were very friendly and efficient. Dr. Jimmy explained my x-rays and gave me a diagnosis and course of treatment. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and an excellent communicator. Overall, I am extremely pleased with KC Orthopaedic.

I just had my second knee surgery at KCOI. They are the best!! Dr. Wingerter is an excellent surgeon. All the staff working with him were kind and competent. My inpatient stay was so peaceful and comfortable. Good food. I think they are marvelous!

From start to finish, my experience could not have been better. Dr. Peer fixed my shoulder and I received wonderful care. Nurses were quick to respond, therapist was very helpful and all staff were kind and courteous. I recommend this place to everyone.

First let me start by saying i am no stranger to surgeries especially orthopedic surgeries. I thought the VA was bad when it comes to their policies and their doctors not giving a damn. But KCOI is on a whole other level and Dr Theodore Korejicki truly doesnt care.nnWhen i initially made my appointment(neurologist sent me there) i had woke up one day no longer able to feel my arms and legs. I had lost the ability to run and damn near walking literally over night. I was told initially i wouldn't see a doctor until i had a MRI done. Ok no worries i get it. You dont want to over whelm the surgeons with none surgical stuff. But what they dont tell you is you will be lucky to see your surgeon/doctor one or more times. My first appointment is saw Dr Korejicki's PA (Hunter Ender...who is awesome by the way) got my MRI scheduled adter MRI was done My second appointment i again saw the PA. They MRI showed that c3 thrugh c7 had collapsed into my spinal cord basically crushing and causing my issues. The PA told surgery was a definite but we can try to do a shot and see what happens. 2 days later i get a call from KCOI saying the doctor needs to see me immediately. I go back in for my now 3rd visit. This is the one and only visit where i actually see and speak to Dr Korejicki. He tells me im at a very high risk of being a quadriplegic if i dont get surgery now. I was kinda taken back considering they had my MRI results for 2 months so far. Fast forward a week i have cervical laminaplasty doc says surgery was a success and no issues. I wake up in recovery in complete agony far more than anticipated by the post op team. The 2 days i spent in the hospital never saw Dr Korejicki again only his PA Hunter. Fast forward 2wks i go in for my first post op thinking ill be seeing my surgeon...nope im seeing the PA. During this visit Hunter informs us the there infact was a issue during my operation. Dr Korejicki had cut to far through my bottom vertebrae causing it to be very loose potentially causing an issue and definitely a big part of why my post op pain was so bad. Today was my 12 wk appointment 12-31-24 and i have yet to speak to MY DOCTOR. We have sent emails and called the director of operations Matt with no return emails calls or anything. But if you own them $12 you better be ready for constant calls and emails. Hunter Ender is a damn good PA and actually shows he cares. Im sure he took some heat over actually telling us the truth about my operation. He is the only reason i gave KCOI the 2 stars they got. I never in a million years would have thought damn i actually wish i would have use the VA.
