Our team had a fantastic experience collaborating with the LifeTown team on the installation of the Modernfold Acousti-Seal Legacy at their Livingston location. Their distinctive approach to design, management, and teamwork ensured the projectu2019s success. We look forward to the opportunity to partner with the LifeTown team again in the future!

My son really loves this place. His class goes on field trips here somewhat regularly and he has a blast every time. Although I never got to attend myself I am endorsing it because my son likes it so much. It teaches kids about things they will encounter out in the community and from the pictures Ive seen it actually looks like a small downtown inside the facility. My son seems to really like that the students all get to u201cbuyu201d a few little treats of their choice on each visit. Usually he gets some little fidget toys or small gamesu2026.but on his most recent visit he went for a grape popsicle, chips, and a cookie. My son is severely impacted by autism and sadly is unable to speak a single word (thankfully he has a computerized device that allows him to hit buttons to u201ctalku201d with). The last visit i actually picked him up from the LifeTown parking lot and he hit the buttons on his talker to say u201cdad I have fun hereu201d and u201cdad I like coming to this placeu201d. My son doesnu2019t often state his feelings like that so it honestly brought a tear or three to my eye to hear him say these things with his talker. Iu2019d say thatu2019s a very meaningful endorsement of LifeTown! Thank you to all the staff for making my son feel so welcome. It means everything to my wife and I. It literally could not mean more to us.

MAJOR DOWNSIDE - PET SHOPnnANIMAL LOVERS BEWAREnnI visited Life Town as a Chaperone and all the reviews are true! This place is an awesome learning experience!nnOnly downside is the pet shop. I really think it's not necessary to have the pet shop with real animals.nnI used to work in animal welfare and it was a horrible experience to walk into the pet shop and see two birds stressed out, and a guinea pig hiding. It's too loud of an environment for these poor creatures. Please adopt them out and use fake animals as props. You do not need real ones.nnIf I was to adopt out a guinea pig or birds, I would not adopt them out to this organization, sorry.nnGuinea pig was hiding obviously because they are sensitive to loud noises and new smells.nnPoor bird had no feathers on its head to protect it's ears. Probably the feathers had shed due to stress. The birds and pigs were definitely stressed with all the kids and adults screaming or talking loudly and talking into the cages. (I understand that the special needs adults/kids who come here can't help it, but the animals don't deserve to live in that kind of a poor environment either.)nnMy colleagues and I were upset to see those poor animals. Not happy with the pet shop having real animals at all. :( Animals did not consent to be put into those stressful environments. Please scratch the real animals pet shop idea.nnYou can look into Furreal Friends.

I am moved to share my reflections on this remarkable place. I have always believed in the power of community, inclusion, and the sacred connection between individuals. Lifetown embodies these values in ways that deeply resonate with me.nnFrom the moment I stepped into Lifetown, I was struck by its thoughtful design, which mirrors a small town to provide a real-world learning environment for individuals with special needs. This isn't just a center; it's a microcosm of society, built with love and care, to teach, support, and empower its visitors.nnThe staff and volunteers at Lifetown are the heart of this community. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of those they serve are truly inspirational. It's clear they don't just work here; they pour their souls into creating a space where everyone feels valued, understood, and included.nnAs I walked through Lifetown, observing the various setupsu2014from the supermarket to the bank, from the health center to the theateru2014I was impressed by the meticulous attention to detail. Each element is designed to offer practical life skills training in a joyful, engaging manner. It's a place where learning and growth happen seamlessly, cloaked in fun and friendship.nnThe sense of joy and belonging that permeates Lifetown is palpable. It's a testament to what we can achieve when we come together to support the most vulnerable among us. Lifetown isn't just teaching life skills; it's nurturing the soul, fostering self-esteem, and building a community of support and understanding.nnMy visit to the Friendship Circle Lifetown Center has been a profoundly moving experience. It reaffirms my belief in the power of community, the importance of inclusion, and the boundless potential within each individual. Lifetown is showing us the way toward a more compassionate, understanding, and inclusive society. I am grateful for the opportunity to witness the incredible work being done here by Zalman & Toba Grossbaum and their staff and look forward to seeing the continued impact of this extraordinary center on the community and beyond.

What an amazing place. My students absolutely had the best experience visiting LifeTown. They were able to work on skills in a safe space for them. The volunteers were amazing and friendly. I look forward to bringing them again.
