Make sure you donu2019t have any plans after you visit this urgent care. I made an appointment and it took 3 PLUS hours for me to see a doctor. No exaggeration. I couldnu2019t walk right out either because they made me pay before waiting. Donu2019t get me wrong the staff is super sweet and Iu2019m not much of a complainer but this was a terrible experience. You have to have a saints patience for this place. Do not recommend.

Everyone person I encountered at MedStar was extremely helpful. The nurses met me in extreme pain, yet managed to make me smile. The doctor was more caring than most. She laid out my options, and made it easy to make my treatment decision. Also, this MedStar seemed to be far more efficient than any other Urgent care than I have been in.

I booked the night before for an 8am appointment. They were prompt, friendly, and professional.nnI like the virtual check-in, with the person at the desk. It would be odd if only the iPad was there when I entered. I also like the system that allows updates to be sent via phone after we check-in. Itu2019s kinda seamless, though I wonder how many elders understand it and if they have a paper option for folks who do not understand tech.nnThe place was also well appointed with plenty tissues, masks, and hand gel (which was neededu2026.because I was going thought it).nnItu2019s in a busy location and you can tell the workers do big shifts (I overheard one mention to another what time they left work the night prior). But, despite the busy-ness they seem to be professionals who care.nnAs often is the caseu2026.Iu2019ve read some of the other reviews and think the wait time issues in healthcare spots are often long because of larger problems with our healthcare u201csystem.u201d Itu2019s hard to blame stuff on one place.

This week I went to MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Alexandria after work because I was not feeling well. From the time that I entered until I left my experience was great. Every member of the Urgent Care staff that I interacted with was very professional and friendly. They put my mind at ease and the diagnosis that I received was perfect. I am feeling much better now and would highly recommend their services.

Very nice staff. Tasleem my X-ray tech was courteous and caring. Amelia my PA was nice and caring, and did a good job evaluating my knee injury. If I need an urgent care I would return. They can perform X-rays and I appreciate the Medstar patient experience at an urgent care. Thanks Medstar
