The doctor who treated me informed me that I tested negative for covid and the flu yet he prescribed me Tamiflu. I expressed to him my concern that I have had both of those before but had never experienced painful swollen lymph nodes on my chest. He said that it takes 3 to 4 days for bacteria to incubate and that my sickness is most likely viral. I listened to his advice and was subsequently admitted to the emergency room 24 hrs later with a bacterial infection. It would have been nice to have been recommended to go the emergency room immediately instead of waiting and allowing the infection to do more damage. I spent 3 hrs receiving vancomycin through an iv and I am on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks. Seeking critical care for infections is of utmost importance for recovering quickly.

I was in Atlanta this past weekend, and I had a medical emergency but not quite serious enough to visit the hospitalu2019s emergency room. I was delighted to see Piedmonts Urgent Care down the street from where I was so I headed there immediately. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very nice young lady, who said I could be seen in the next 15 minutes, I was very pleased to hear that, because I was in pain and very uncomfortable. After I gave her my identification card and insurance, I was sent a registration link which made everything very easy, I only had to pay $20.00 for the visit and I was taken care by medical assistant and a nurse practitioner, in a very respectful and professional manner.nI was very grateful for their service and care in a timely manner.nI was able to continue to enjoy my visit with my family and had peace of mind I had the treatment and medication I needed right away without interruption.nI would recommend Piedmont Urgent Care in Dunwoody GA for your needs.

I went in on a Saturday evening right after Christmas an hour before closing. The front Staff was great. My wait time to see the doctor was less than 10 minutes. Brandon, the doctor, was Fantastic. He was very thorough with explaining my Diagnosis. I was skeptical at first since I donu2019t visit urgent cares very often. However, I highly recommend Piedmont urgent care and if necessary would not hesitate to go back.
