I had my daughter at the hospital in 2022. It was a joyful moment for my husband and me. The doctor and nurse were super gentle and patient with me. However, one of the nurses was extremely rude and unsympathetic. I had just given birth and was excited to see my brother, who was eager to meet me and my baby. But she told me, I only have time to clean you up now; your brother can wait. I donu2019t think she realized how hurtful her words were. I was feeling very sensitive and happy, and she definitely didnu2019t care about my feelings. Also, the same nurse (she was Brazilian) drove me crazy a few months before my C-section. I was in the emergency room and was transferred to another hospital because my OB-GYN thought it would be better since I was 32 weeks along, and the other hospital had more support in case anything needed to be done. This nurse told me that my baby might be born prematurely and could have complications. Oh, God, I cried a lot. She was so mean.

Iu2019m just grateful to be alive. ud83dude0aI had been experiencing chest pain for a week and decided to visit the emergency room yesterday. I thought it wasn't a big deal and expected to be given some medication, scolded for not working out, and then sent home. It turns out I was experiencing unstable angina, very close to having a heart attack. The doctors and nurses acted very professionally and didn't tell me how dangerous my situation was to prevent me from freaking out. Dr. Conway literally saved my life. Iu2019m incredibly grateful for the excellent care I received from the medical team at Melrose Wakefield Hospital.Huge thanks to everyone in the medical field and to modern medical technologyu2014I owe them my life!If anyone feels chest discomfort, shortness of breath, or numbness in the wrists or arms, do not hesitate! Go to the emergency room right away!

My recent experience at this hospital was a mixed bag. While a few staff members were competent, professional, and genuinely helpful, the rest left much to be desired. The nurses on the day of our discharge were rude, uncooperative, and seemed more focused on getting us out than providing care. Their attitude was unacceptable and left a bitter impression during what should have been a joyful time. The front desk and administrative staff were even worse. I had filled out a form for my child's 529 plan (College savings plan) a month back at the hospital and did not hear anything so I followed up with a phone call, only to be met with confusion and condescension. They actually asked me, u201cDo you know this is a hospital youu2019re calling?u201d Yes, I dou2014perhaps itu2019s time they familiarize themselves with their own processes or learn to route calls to the correct department. Instead of addressing my concern, they resorted to yelling and reprimanding me, which was both unprofessional and disrespectful. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the hospital as a whole. While I commend the few staff members who went above and beyond, the incompetence and lack of basic courtesy from others overshadowed their efforts. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hospital to anyone. Look elsewhere if you value professionalism and respect.

I honestly do not want to give a star to this hospital but it's not an option they force you to give them a star which they don't deserve, i've been going to this hospital for years now for my two daughters i have 3 years old and 1-year-old,The nurses are very very rude all the time for no reason, They've been treating my one year old with disgusting way and regressive way, i went there on May 23th 2025 with my 1-year-old, because they give her a vaccines and she cannot walk after, i was explaining what happened to the Dr's they won't ever listen to my concerns as a mother, they would not helpful al all, they had to take blood from my 1 year-old baby and the nurse she did it in very very regressive way, until the blood of my 1 year old daughter went everywhere on the room and on her dad's, t shirt, instead of the nurse apologize she was blaming it on one a year old baby, the doctor was yelling at me because I was trying to understand what she says or that what they going to do to my 1-year-old, and the sad part about it they were all of them laughing the doctor and the nurses laughing and taking down about me and my 1-year-old and her Father in the hall we heard everythingthe worst experience in my life ever Melrose wakefield hospital in Massachusetts do better!!!!!!!! , the worst hospital to go to for care to the loves one'sThe nurses and Dr's will treat you like a garbage.I don't recommend this place to anybody

If I could give this hospital zero stars I would. This place is nothing but a money gauging facility, lying and hiding costs to patients. I had an ultrasound done $1140. AN ULTRASOUND!!! the same thing in an office is $200. They send you separate bills for each person/department. Went to the ER there once and It was $1000. Paid It. Then got another bill for $850 for the doctor who signed my discharge and never actually spoke to me. They are never forthcoming with charges. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
