What a great team. I got the opportunity to spend a couple nights in SMH after an snowboarding accident and received excellent care and a full blown emergency surgery. Everyone was very professional yet could still don a sense of humor to lighten things up when needed. I was truly impressed by all the nurses, doctors, and my surgeon. For what could have been a difficult, scary and painful experience, they offered me comfort, peace of mind, and confidence in their knowledge and experience. They communicated well with me and amongst each other. Thanks so much to my care team at SMH. Bless Yu2019all!

Went into the ER for different reasons. We had excellent care from the staff on the ER to the time I spent on the floor. They are amazing and hard working staff. The hospitalist was so helpful and kind. There are so many people whoade it a good experience.

On Nov 25, at 1245 pm I was turned away from the ER at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. I sat, in a wheel chair begging them for an ultrasound that I had been promised to check on the ectopic pregnancy I was going through. The woman at the er check in desk refused to let me get help.nnI cried, and begged for help and was turned away. I had been back and forth and even admitted to the womenu2019s health unit last Friday. They KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON!!nnLater at shift change, I knew I could get help and went back. The hospital did surgery at 11 pm. I had 300cc of blood ud83eude78 in my stomach from the tubal pregnancy that would have killed me.nnThis was my second ectopic, and my third loss.nI knew what I could expect and I knew I needed help right then.nnI stood in my rights as a human, and got the surgery I needed, even though I had to wait. If I had waited as long as I was told- til 245pm the NEXT DAY- they would be paying kid a hefty sum of money for my life.nnThe doctor told me I definitely needed the surgery, and I needed that assistance when I was turned away.nnThe hell experienced at this hospital is enough to have several people lose their jobs and licenses.

A simple request for medical records has become an absolute nightmare. I wouldnu2019t trust anyone here with my medical care or insurance billing since everyone Iu2019ve been in contact with seems to think customer service is below them, and the mantra is u201cthatu2019s not my jobu201d regardless of who you talk to. HIM manager Gena is extremely argumentative, unprofessional and rude. She clearly has no interest in serving patients or managing her department. Poor leadership is not a good look on you SMH.
