A male night nurse made remarks about unplugging my grandmother in the ICU, as well as other nurses attempting to deceive our family to do it. They offered a lack of care due to her age, and have made very poor attempts at helping her. Terrible hospital and terrible practices.

Well I have to say I am not impressed. Originally living in sioux city to becoming a visitor this place has completely gone down hill. There is no such thing as being fast paced but only one pace especially when it comes to someone being in excruciating pain waiting for pain meds for almost an hour. Dragging their feet not to get someone up out of bed or their chair when they are day 4 post surgical. In fact, they don't get them up at all and allow them to sit in one position for at least 8 hrs and maybe longer. Wouldn't be surprised if my loved one ends up with a pressure sore. No infection control being followed, this coming from a healthcare worker that knows what procedures need to be followed. Food that is overpriced and dried out for family that looks like it has been sitting from the previous day. Workers on their cell phone non stop makes for a very professional atmosphere that really doesn't give a damn. So so disappointed and would love to be able to take my loved one and move them to St.Lukes, unfortunately I am not in that decision making role but I can let others know that this hospital is definitely not up to Par with what they should be doing.

Husband had a medical emergency and was taken to this place. ER nurses are weird and rude. They acted as if it was a bother to speak with me on the phone. I pretty much got yeah uh huh and okay as feedback when I called to find out about my husband and what they had given him as for treatment. Once they found out he had insurance, they gave him better treatment.

ICU nurses are very kind to loved ones and the ICU doctor is very nice and informative. The only downside is the cafeteria doesnu2019t really serve food anymore- but the baked goods in there are very delicious!
