They are more concerned with billing then they are with taking care of patients. No line and waited 45+ min JUST to be seen because of this. Then, we were seen by a nurse (Joanne) whom I don't have enough space to write about here, but the highlights are her taking ANOTHER 45 minutes to go thru all the questions and type up her notes. Just when I thought she was done with all of her ridiculous questions to my 5 year old, she asks him to stand in a specific position for an eye exam...I about lost it but my wife beat me to it asking her the purpose of an eye test for an ear infection. She said it's because he complained about his eyes hurting. I've never heard of such a procedure in my life. My personal favorite part is just when we thought we could leave this circus, they couldn't find Joanne's notes on the eye exam, so they couldn't discharge us until they could get her to break away from the other patient she was now seeing. It was like amateur hour from beginning to the highly anticipated end.The irony of our visit was that we skipped Trinity and came here because there was a 2 hour wait at Trinity, and no wait here. By the time we were discharged, we had spent 2 hours anyway, thus saving no time. The Indian female doctor is great by the way, and she is the only saving grace of this facility. Not even the front desk people are tolerable here.

I go here whenever I'm having small problems such as a suspected UTI or smaller concerns when I don't want to go to the main Muscatine hospital. Front desk was always very welcomeing and considerate when they knew I couldn't hold my bladder. The doctor I see is great at listening and doesn't waste any time. The nurses have also always been great at doing their job of taking my blood pressure and other small routine tests. I'm always pleased whenever I leave here.

Went there worried about billing over care. Asked for a note, was told no, because they are an urgent care and not the pcp. Really, you said I had pneumonia, but no note for work UnityPoint gives notes for their patients. Never had to pay up front for a strep test and an x-ray. Pay my copay and my insurance should cover it. I get that people don't pay their bills but I can't wait to see if they even billed it to my insurance when I get my EOB. If they didn't I'm filing a complaint with my insurance and they can dive into and see if there is a problem. Greedy! The doctor is highly unprofessional, no bedside manor and maybe be appropriate with your clothing choices and leave some of the jewelry at home. If your office is accredited with JCAHO or any govt. program, open toed shoes are a huge NO NO. One ring per hand. I know UnityPoint has waits but I've never been treated like I was a cash cow and that's it. Go to UnityPoint or Genesis in QCA, this place is a joke. The reason you wait is because they want to know exactly what billing is going to pay so that you don't walk out of there owing them one penny. (Know plenty of their previous staff) Doctor tells them they are stupid and are idiots. So imagine what she thinks about us as her patients. Lack of respect there.

Super rude front desk person. Not friendly, her and another woman(M.A?) huffing about being at work and being busy. Lady tells me 1.5 hr wait, I say yes thatu2019s better than the other one since itu2019s closed to which she responds u201cya we should be closed toou201d and stomps off. I hand the receptionist my insurance card, and immediately she hands it back and tells me they donu2019t accept my insurance. I tell her that I just called my insurance and was told that this place was u2018in-networku2019 so she could just run it and it would be fine. She argues and says u201cno, I donu2019t know who you talked to but they are wrong, we donu2019t accept this insurance.u201d So I again said yes you do, you can call the insurance. She walks away and talks with someone else and comes back and says no. She proceeds to sit down and go about her other work. So frustrating, will never return, and will share this with others so they donu2019t go either.

Awful! I went in complaining of severe chest and rib pain along with a violent cough. They swabbed my throat for strep, and when that came back negative they were POSITIVE nothing at all was wrong and sent me home. Never listened to my lungs or anything. About a week later the pain was unbearable, and I made a trip to the ER. After chest X-rays and actually listening to my chest, turns out I have severe bronchitis and strained ribs and muscles from the force of my coughing. I'm now on steroids, antibiotics, painkillers, AND have an inhaler. Muscatine Urgent Care is sloppy and careless! I will NOT be returning here.
