Worst experience and I felt like I have been scammed when the bills came. I went in to NWurgent care because I had this recurring chest pain that occurs once a month. My husband said to go to urgent care so they could do .a ECG when I am experiencing the pain. Even though ECG was normal the nurse urged me to go to emergency room and when I asked her why she said my u201cconditionu201d required blood test which they could not do and offered to call an ambulance and I told her I feel perfectly fine and I would walk (that was creating a sense of urgency with ambulance offer so I think twice about not going). When I was there they did another ECG and I asked them if they could get it from urgent care as it was literally done 10 mins ago. They said no. Then I waited 5 hours in the waiting room. My u201cconditionu201d that I was offered an ambulance for suddenly became nothing even though they dod not additional test until 2 hours. They did a blood test and chest x-ray which came out negative. After 5 hours I was given a seat inside which was screened (not a bed). They made me wait for another hour, during which they did another repeat of blood test.And then the doctor declared I did not have a heart ttack but I should go through a stress test, which I was fine with. I feel like I have been scammed and they billed me for highest complexity emergency room visit which was nothing but outpatient care after hours. Why send non-emergency cases when you know your emergency room already has 4 to 6 hour wait time?

I was visiting from out of town and I had to go to their ER. Excellent service. All staff was very helpful and very professional. The nurses and doctors are very caring. I was treated very well and my medical issue was sorted immediately. I will forever be thankful for this wonderful experience when I needed most.

Great Hospital that has outgrown itself. I have been an off and on patient for 30 years, had 2 kids here and received MRSA infection during 2nd C-Section but it is still a shining star of Chicagoland medical field.

Wonderful hospital with wonderful care! There have been NO homeless people wandering around! Security is excellent! You even need to get a security badge in order to visit the patient in their room! I cannot say enough about the excellent care my husband got from his surgeon! 5 Stars!

The security guard did not talk to me directly. Instead, he talked to my Uber driver. He just didnu2019t know how to act around me because I am visually impaired. Other than that, the medical staff were wonderful. They talk to me like an adult which I really appreciated. And they also ran some tests to diagnose me. They diagnosed me correctly. And I was seen before my scheduled appointment time of 11 AM. I am so glad they helped me. If I ever have an emergency in the future, I will choose Northwestern over the hospital near my building. They have excellent medical staff and they treat you like a human being. I cannot express how much I appreciated the care Northwestern gave me.
