This place is wonderful. The receptionist was very friendly and the lady who took care of me whose name is carrie(not sure if that's how she spells it) was extremely helpful and explanatory of the whole process in which I was there. She even went above and beyond to offer any assistance if I needed anything. Amazing job to all the people working there.

The nurses were nice, funny, helped me feel comfortable during blood work. Other than that, the way that I was treated here for a pre employment physical was appalling, unethical, condescending, and not even legal. I told the Dr Smith one piece of information and they wrote down another, resulting in confusion from my doctors about the requests they are making to clear me for work, among other issues. Eg, I explicitly told them that my medication was prescribed by a pulmonary/sleep doctor, but they wrote down that they want a letter from a medical prescriber that doesn't even align with who prescribed it. So when I gave my doctor (the prescriber) the form that asked for the letter they were requesting for the medication, they didn't even know what they were asking for. They are also violating my rights as a patient. My providers are contacting them to refuse requests for medical information they are making, and refusing to give them my specific medical details that have nothing to do with my role. Eg, I told them about a very, very low dose med I am currently prescribed, as we are required to bring all our current meds to the appointments. It works similarly to an antihistamine, sometimes prescribed for hives. As a result, they said they would require letters from some of my providers, they told me they are requiring the specific diagnosis, my current treatment status, among other unethical info not related to the current role. They told me they want to make sure I am stable enough. I was treated like a nut case. Again, one of my providers called to tell them they will not be giving them my medical info. I was not listened to at all, I was spoken to as a child, I was treated in a condescending manner, and if they knew my experience and credentials, they would not be doing this.Plus, the dr doing the physical seemed a little out of it. I would tell her one thing, explicitly, and she would say something else out loud that wasn't even what I just said. I even clarified. I was not listened to. Eg I explicitly told her I did not have a psychiatrist, yet she wrote a letter requesting that my mental health prof give me a clearance letter. I literally don't even have one, and that's not why I was even prescribed the med. I explicitly said no, not a psychiatrist. She just kept repeating and telling me to give her specific diagnoses, that she would be requesting them, among my current treatment status. Highly unethical. She was inattentive, unclear. First she told me she wants a letter from my psychiatrist, and I explicitly told her I don't have one, then just repeated herself and put that on the form anyway. She then asked me to get a clearance letter from my counselor, yet she put on the form that it's for meds, but counselors don't even have anything to do with meds, nor are they a medical doctor. Not only were the requests problematic, but they made no logical sense. The dr was creating a situation & person in her mind that didn't exist rather than the patient in front of her. Then, when I called the office to tell them my counselor doesnt prescribe and cannot write a clearance letter about meds, they said that if I was able to work they Should be able to write one without an issue. My counselor finally decided to call the office themselves to set it clear: the issue wasn't because they have a concern. It is because they will NOT be ethically disclosing this and it's not their scope of practice. Paul the nurse then was telling me something different than the Dr.These examples are not even all of the issues.I almost want to make a formal complaint. This is embarrassing. Given my knowledge of the field and how people SHOULD be treated, this is inappropriate. Save yourself the headache and see if you can go to your own php for the physical with actual competence. Don't act like u pride yourself on equity then pull this ableist B S about being stable enough because of a dx I got EIGHT years ago.Editing to say they are now making me come back for A SECOND blood draw because they didn't ship my TB test in time!

My son, Markus M. was called by family medical center out of Temperence to schedule an appointment with his PCP., Dr. Stockmiieger. Upon his arrival today at 10 minutes before his appt. time at 3pm, the staff said that he had to wear a mask. He explained to the lady over the counter that he had a medical exemption, and so she walked to the back room and returned 2 minutes later with a nurse. She said it's policy that everyone has to wear a mask. My son explains that he has lung cancer, and that his oncologist out of Ann Arbor said that due to his increase in lung infections, he CANNOT wear a mask under any circumstances, not to mention his extreme claustrophobia. The lady raised her voice and kept repeating that it's policy regardless of the reason and that the Dr. wouldn't see him unless he wears one. Apparently, this policy is so extreme, that they're willing to compromise the health and well-being of the patient instead of hearing what's being said. They'd rather Markus develop an infection before his surgery on his lungs, and risk him passing out and cracking his skull in the lobby than to compromise this policy for his extreme medical condition. we've already contacted Sam Bernsteins' law offices and will be filing, what would amount to Markus's 3rd lawsuit against medical institutions in Michigan for this exact reason. See you in court, we have a recording. We're also reporting this facility and Dr. S. to the medical board for discrimination and refusing medical treatment.

The nurses are friendly and attentive. The facility is clean but the two receptionists never smiled nor were they welcoming at all. As the first interaction, they really need to work on guest service even if some of the clients are undesirable.
