Horrible experience with the PA! It is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a medical professional! She was rude, unprofessional, and condescending. She asked a question, and when it wasn't a short answer, interrupted me and obviously wasn't listening. I paid $200 to be treated this way for less than 5 minutes because she couldn't get away from me faster! I have experienced this behavior too often (once it's too often) from doctors and nurses in the past because I'm honest about my addiction. You would think that when you're paying $200 for less than 5 minutes that the people that have the most medical training would be able to treat you with respect and not jump to conclusions because of their past experiences. Fortunately, I've been drug free most of my life, and I know this says more about her than me! How so many medical professionals can act this way shows how ignorant the medical profession is. When you treat people this way, you exasperate the problem because it takes most addicts many years to realize they are worth it, and how people treat them is not all about them. What part of this statement do you not understand: FIRST DO KNOW HARM!nP.S. The receptionist and the assistant to the PA were the exact opposite and treated me like anyone else!

The receptionist and communication were positive, which we appreciated. However, our experience with the doctor was disappointing. She did not appear to be thorough and seemed to rush through the appointment, leaving us feeling like we hadnu2019t made any progress in addressing our concerns. In comparison, our usual urgent care visits are far more effective. We waited over five days for lab results without receiving a clear diagnosis. At our regular clinic, we likely would have been provided with a nebulizer and steroids to open airways, prescribed antibiotics immediately, and had a more comprehensive evaluation, including temperature and ear checks. We will not return here in the future.

Our experience at this urgent care was absolutely unacceptable. My wife and I came in needing medical assistance, but instead, we were met with nothing but arrogance and unprofessionalism.nThe doctor was shockingly rude and dismissive, and her behavior toward us felt blatantly discriminatory. Itu2019s appalling to think that someone in her position could treat patients with such disrespect.nThe receptionist at the front desk wasnu2019t any better. She misled us about the process, only to change her story later. To make matters worse, we were charged extra fees even though we have two insurances, which should have covered the visit.

Iu2019m sharing this in hopes it helps others avoid the stress we faced. My husband recently tested positive for the flu after visiting another urgent care. Later that morning, my 86-year-old grandmother started showing symptomsu2014fever, severe coughing, sore throat. Then my cousin came over coughing too. Concerned, I searched online for urgent care reviews and chose Pulse Urgent Care. I booked appointments for both my grandmother and cousin online, clearly stating u201cfluu201d as the reason for their visits.nnWhen we arrived, I told the front desk staff that my husband had the flu and mentioned I might need an appointment, too, for preventive care. The staff agreed, so I began filling out paperwork. My grandmother was called back quickly, so I abandoned my paperwork to go with her.nnIn the exam room, I repeated my husbandu2019s flu diagnosis and my grandmotheru2019s symptoms. They asked what type of flu my husband had, but I wasnu2019t sure. Thatu2019s when the staff informed us they were out of flu swabs. They offered a $125 test with quicker results or a culture that would take 4u20135 days. When I asked if they could prescribe medication without confirming the flu, they said, u201cThe doctor has been writing prescriptions anyway.u201dnnThe doctor eventually came in and asked us what treatment we were thinking. My grandmother said, u201cYouu2019re the doctor.u201d I mentioned my husband was prescribed Tamiflu, so the doctor decided to do the same. I also asked about cough suppressant perles, which they added despite saying they donu2019t think they work.nnThe prescriptions were sent to CVS, but moments later, CVS called to inform us they were out of stock. I returned to Pulse Urgent Care to request paper prescriptions so I could find a pharmacy with the meds in stock. They refused, stating, u201cWe donu2019t do paper prescriptions.u201dnnAfter driving to multiple pharmacies, we finally got the prescriptions filled, but Iu2019m still upset. Why allow appointments for flu when theyu2019re out of swabs? Why not inform patients ahead of time so they can make other plans? The whole process was unnecessarily frustrating for my family, especially my elderly grandmother, who couldnu2019t afford to wait.
