My first visit here after I was assigned by my insurance. I was super nervous after seeing the horrible rating. As a new patient, I expected to have to wait weeks for an appointment, but they got me in the same day. I had barely started filling out the new patient packet when I was called back. They took my vitals and then led me to a room where the NP was already waiting. I had an urgent concern, and I felt heard and not dismissed. We agreed on a plan for tests, and she led me back to the front, where she asked me to have a seat and said the check out person would be right with me. Before I finished filling out the packet, all of my tests and referrals were ready to go, and I had a follow up appointment scheduled for two weeks later. My old doctors office took days to process referrals and never had appointments available. This was an unexpected and comforting experience!

I love Dr. Henderson, she takes the time to listen to me, answer all my questions. Everyone at the front desk are so nice. In person or on the phone, someone said something so silly, that the people at the front office ate paod to be there! Lol. , well yes, they have to eat and pay their bills, just like we do. I think she needed a Dr.

I don't know how to even begin to describe my experience because I was in complete disbelief how awful a doctor could treat someone in their care. Dr. Paula Henderson's lack of professionalism is what finally led me to say something to her directly. while she rolled her eyes and looked through my chart, the entire time i felt like i was a nuisance to her. (mind you this is my first time meeting her) i finally asked her if she was upset because she looked irritated, to which she responded with, it's time to go... and began complaining about me. I responded, you don't have to be a doctor if you don't like your job. it's not my problem that i'm sitting here under YOUR care and it's past hours? she turned around surprised i'd said what i did, and said, excuse me? to which i responded, i will not let you speak to me rudely as you have. again, if you don't want to be a doctor you don't need to be one. she stood up and asked me to leave, and i was happy to do so. as i had waited for her for over an hr. the staff themselves seemed to not have any idea of what they were doing either. itu2019s clear they lack good management and i feel bad for some of the nurses who actually care about their role. because it is clear some of these doctors need to retire. the care at this office is subpar. i recommend if you're looking for doctors that actually care and enjoy their work (which is rare to begin with), do not come here. it's clear they aren't there for the right reasons.

JUST DONu2019T GO THERE!Things started off ok a year ago but in the past 3 months there were mistakes in my Medical Chart. When I called to get a refill of a Medication that was prescribed to me since January 2024, I was told by Angelina and Melissa that the medication hadnu2019t been prescribed since May 2024 and Iu2019d have to see another Dr. for it. This wasnu2019t accurate. They wouldnu2019t even call Walgreens to check. Both treated me like an idiot when I told them this was an error, kept telling me it was up to Jake, the Nurse Practitioner to fix the problem. Repeating themselves then hanging up on me or ending the call abruptly. Really RUDE, LAZY and UNPROFESSIONAL.When I asked to speak to their office manager Cheryl, she was ALWAYS in a meeting or not available. So I had to drive down to their office each month to get the problem rectified. But my Chart information was NEVER changed! This was VERY stressful. Yesterday I wrote Jake, the NP a letter, drove to Walgreens for a print out of the last year of medications and take it down there. I doubt he will ever see it. Did Melissa think I was going away or not trying to get this resolved. Yesterday, I was told Cheryl was in a Training Class and there was NO ONE ELSE who could help me. Passing the buck and shirking responsibility. I was asked to come back today instead!! Finally I I was able to speak to Melissa and she kept telling me the same thing, but then finally told me the Medication WAS sent in as she walked away from me. She couldnu2019t bother to tell me that over the phone????Their office was quick to advise me I wasnu2019t going to covered to see them anymore because my insurance company was changing medical groups and to call my Medicare Insurance Broker they had u201cSuch A great working relationship withu201d so I could continue to be treated by their office. A lady with a screaming baby in the background even called me to help RETAIN me as a patient. My Broker told me how great Dr Mathias Practice is. I told them what was really happening at their office. I will tell anyone and everyone NOT TO GO THERE or see another Primary Physician in their Medical Group. There are more staff there than patients. They will probably loose patients in 2025 due to such poor communication and treatment. I wonder if Dr. Mathias knows this is happening??. NEVER let a Drs. Office staff try and BULLY YOU or NOT fix your Medical Records that will follow you around. Chronic Sleep Apnea, Severe Insomnia and lack of REM sleep is no joke! Fortunately there is a Medical Board you can speak to here in CA to assist you with NEGLIGENCE.

It seems impossible to make an appointment when you are a new patient. They take your information and in order to make an appointment they have to call you back, but if you canu2019t answer the phone because you are busy or working thereu2019s nothing else you can do, you need to be all day waiting to see at what time they call you.
