If you want your symptoms to be heard and recorded, don't see Dr. Kalant. After my first appt with her, I noticed that not only did we not go over any of my symptoms because she was treating my recent flare as same old instead of an individualized experience, but it was recorded that I was NOT experiencing any of the symptoms that I am and that we didn't even go over in the short visit. It was even recorded that I had normal bowel sounds, and no abdominal distention when she never looked at my abdomen and didn't listen to it. Also, it's dangerous to deny that a patient has blood in their stool when they do.When I brought up this concern, and how it can be detrimental to my care w/ other physicians when they read that a specialist of mine recently recorded that I was not experiencing the symptoms that I claim to be experiencing now (and was experiencing when I saw Dr. Kalant) she didn't address it at all. Instead of seeing the problem with the inaccurate reporting of a patient's symptoms, she said If you have a problem with my care or your trust in me, I can refer you somewhere else
