I received a medical bill from South Texas Pathology Associates, LLP 82 days after I received pathology services. My surgery and services took place on the 18th of September and I received my statement on the 9th of December. I spoke to a representative on 10 January and she confirmed that South Texas Pathology Associates, LLP does NOT inform itu2019s patience in advance of being billed for services.nnMy surgery was of the sterilization nature, and all my pathology requirements were supposed to have been taken care of on 13 September in preparation of my surgery. To my understanding based on what was communicated to me at the time, I thought I had paid my surgery in full as of early December (surgeon, pathology labs and anesthesia). Out of the two representatives I spoke to on 3 January and 10 January, the process for billing is collect the debt without warning the patient. No reason was offered and they also made it clear there is no process to voice concerns. The best resolution was that I can write a letter in hopes that my concern is addressed but with absolutely no guarantee.nnThe kicker is that I had services from South Texas Pathology Associates on 13 September and they billed me within two weeks. So I donu2019t understand why the debt collection practice is intentionally dubious and there is no communication or transparency. I donu2019t even know what pathology services were performed on me on the day of surgery which is a concern all on its own since I was incapacitated. The initial representative deferred me by saying I could call the hospital and ask them to send me a breakdown of what South Texas Pathology Associates, LLP are billing me for.nnIu2019m going to write this review anywhere I can to show other unsuspecting good people how they should expect to be treated by this company. Please be warned and know that you will be billed months later regardless of being uninformed of forthcoming bills.

I had a great experience with this company! Their billing department really helped me out a lot. They discounted my bill 20% and the customer service was outstanding! Great company!

Whomever is in charge of the billing for this company is horrible. For some reason they decided to change how they code the exact same labs in the middle of the year resulting in my insurance company denying the claims. When I called to speak with STPA billing they told me they didn't change anything that it was my insurance company. I have proof that the coding was in fact changed but of course I'm getting the run around. No one at this company wants to take responsibility and fix the coding error. Seems to me like they want to stop giving insurance discounts and charge full price.

Got a notice from my bank today that my refund check sent by South Texas Radiology has bounced. The bank charged me a $12 returned check fee. Their exact words were that a batch of checks were returned and they donu2019t know how long it will be before someone gets back to me or if they were going to refund me for the bank fees as well as the original refund. Look somewhere else. I will be contacting my cc company to dispute the refund check amount as well as the NSF charge my bank charges me. BAD BUSINESS!!
