I have been seeing NP Shannon Burris for more years than I can remember now and I would never go to anyone but her. She is amazing! And always professional, caring, courteous, and helpful. She works with me to create a plan I am comfortable with for my care and she helped saved my life by making sure my breast cancer was diagnosed right away and I got treatment as quickly as possible. I will always be grateful to her and all of my doctors and would recommend her to anyone just as I know other very good doctors recommend her. She is the best!!

Iu2019m convinced Brandi Gomez, FNP-C at Sentara Family Medical Group in Gloucester, VA, saved my life. I have had many experiences in my life that give me reasons to distrust and praise our medical system. Nurse Brandi demonstrated intelligence and deep knowledge across medical disciplines to where I trust her guidance. Without just passing me around to colleagues, she directed me to excellent physicians (e.g. Petra Lynch, M.D. u2013 Cardiologist).nWhen it was discovered that my [redacted], Ms. Gomez compassionately explained the serious dangers while not causing me to panic. It meant I could not drive 11 hours on the interstate to celebrate Christmas with my family. However, if I had an issue at high speed, I could have killed myself and possibly injured or killed others. Brandi Gomez is a national treasure!nI receive excellent follow-up care and it is easy to schedule appointments. The office staff are always helpful. Iu2019ve never been frustrated by having to wait too long for my appointments. Even when I run my visits long, I am always asked if I have any other questions before my session ends.nIu2019m lucky to have Nurse Brandi heading up my medical team.

I have been seeing Shannon Burris for 13 years. She is amazing. She calls in scripts right away and answers her emails very quickly. She is smart, personable and very competent. I drive from Williamsburg to see her. I am 75 yrs old. Best pcp I have ever had.

I just talked to the dumbest person Iu2019ve ever talked to on earth, after I told her Iu2019ve never been there. She asked me which doctor I want and I told her Iu2019ve never been there. I donu2019t know and she said all right. She asked me 100 questions and then she said I can get you in in a month.

The front desk is normal the representative of the Sentara health network. What I experienced here in Gloucester was to me unbelievable. Unfriendly and uninformed, but since Im not the first patient who experienced this, it seems like it is always like that. It dont make a good picture of the whole hospital even when the medical staff does a good job. I will see how it will be at my next app and then I decide if I have to look for another provider. A job training and motivation would maybe change a few things, but right now a check-in- automat would make a better job.
