I had quadruple open-heart surgery done here in May 2023. I canu2019t say anything bad about it. The experience there was heartwarming. The nurses were great. The doctor was awesome. Everything went well and they pushed me through the process. The only bad thing I have to say is that one of the rooms when I was in recovery was pretty bad Then I have no functioning air conditioning or any of that stuff and we had to use fans to try to stay cool and it was very uncomfortable after having such an invasive surgery but other than that the place is a got gave me a new lease on life. I canu2019t say Anything bad about the actual doctors or nurses cause they were great. anytime I get to rave about my surgery and talk to people about it. I was telling him to go there and have it done there because youu2019re definitely not gonna be in a bad way there. They treat you good.

Wednesday 03/19/2025 I started coughing blood suddenly for no apparent reason. I live in Clifton Park, so my wife took me immediately to Ellis Emergentcare in Clifton Park, they doctor and staff there were outstanding and they seemed to do all they could tests wise to figure out what was going on. Eventually the Doctor said they could not find a cause and she was directly transferring me to St Peters Hospital for higher level care, where I was told that 2 medical doctors she spoke with there would be waiting to take me in. She gave me a file of medical records to bring with me and had my wife drive me to St Peters hospital (I do not know if an ambulance was unavailable). Arrived at St Peters Hospital about 8:30pm, still coughing blood, but to a lesser extent. The woman at the front desk took my information, and I explained that I was supposed to be a direct transfer, and the 2 doctors were expecting me. A gentleman sitting behind her said Call Triage and let them know, in reply the woman said I am not doing that. I waited about a 1/2 hour, and nobody came to get me, so I went to Triage and inquired, they said they knew about me and would call me shortly. Hours went by, and every so often I would go back up to Triage and ask them again, and repeat that 2 doctors were expecting me (to receive me) (On the medical records given to me, it states Dr Van Bellingham and Dr Abbuhl - If I am reading the handwritten names correctly). I was repeatedly told we will call you soon. Soon came shortly after 11pm! At which time I was called into triage. I asked to speak to the doctors who were supposed to be receiving me, and I was told by the PA in Triage that that was not going to happen. I was also told by him that my doctor at Ellis Emergentcare never called and spoke to doctors (Complete lie!) (At Ellis the Nurse told me she overheard the doctor talking on the phone to them, and confirming that they would take me directly in). I asked to speak to someone in authority, that was denied. Then another nurse walked in, and we were amidst these debates, and she said that a Patient Transfer Coordinator from Ellis Hospital in Schenectady had called to check on me, and that she told them I was not there (I was sitting in the waiting room 20-25 feet away, and had announced myself to Triage repeatedly). At that point the PA interjected and said that I would be treated as an ER walk-in patient. I asked how soon would I be seen, and said that I heard people already waiting that had been there since 4pm in the afternoon or earlier. And I further asked what does that mean, that I might get seen sometime TOMORROW..?, and his reply was yes probably sometime tomorrow during the day or afternoon.!!!!!). I told them I was not staying in that moment. Clearly they NOT THE HOSPITAL THEY USED TO BE, and had mishandled every aspect. And came across as barely caring about me whatsoever. Christian Hospital is a farse..and I sadly say that as a strong Christian. People like those I ran into should not be working in any hospital, period! This Hospital needs to re-find itself, and what used to make it great. Now it is beyond terrible in my experience. Horribly sad!!!

Disappointed that patient experience totally ignored my concerns over Samaritan hospital Doctor being negligent and ICU nurse totally lying about my husbands location when I called. Now so called Celebration of Life Memorial Service at St Peter's is booked up,I only got invited since my husband died at Samaritan. The Chaplain didn't even offer the next service there truly is no compassion or caring within Trinity Health

Visitors are not checked for identity. Since most facilities are heightening security, I was shocked that I did not have to show any identity to visit a patient. I did not receive a visitor's badge either. Also, inside the main garage there are no markings of lanes. Because this was my first time in the new garage, I took a picture of where I parked because nothing is marked inside, except at a window by the stairs to let you know what floor you are on.Finally, care of the patient I visited was excellent. The nurses are very attentive. I delivered two of my babies at Saint Peter's and I would be wary to become a patient there again.
