The staff isn't the problem like everyone is claiming. It's the environment that is taking a toll on EVERYONE. During my induction to deliver my son the 4 days I was there I had wonderful staffs. BUT the hospital environment is very depressing for All including staff. My bed in labor and delivery barley worked and my room after recovery was the size of a small storage room. I didn't even have to get out of bed to reach the sink and my AC didn't work so staff went and brought me a fan to do their best to keep me cool. I get that it's a non profit hospital but the state could give a lil more investments to keep the hospital in better conditions for both staff and patients

All i can really say is stay woke! itu2019s a reason why this place has low reviews. if i could give it a 0 star i would. i donu2019t want to go into detail about my experience just know that the people are very rude and unprofessional. they donu2019t care about you or your needs they just want their money. overall just a waste of my time. never again. if you know whatu2019s good for you. donu2019t come here.nedited: I was hesitant about writing a review at first because I never had a bad hospital experience, especially one from UF health, which is probably one of the best if not the best hospitals in Jacksonville overall. after reading the reviews and seeing everyoneu2019s experiences I realize that this hospital in particular is horrible and totally different than what i thought it was.

The ratings arenu2019t low for nothing. My experience here went as followsnI checked in regarding concerns with my eyes.nWaited an hour to be moved to another waiting room. Verified insurance info with another hospital rep. Another 2 hours goes by and someone finally comes to see me. This would be (JAMIE WILSON PA). Our first interaction consisted of me patiently standing at her desk to ask a question. She continued typing while not acknowledging me, until another coworker took the initiative to address me. Moving forward, her examination consisted of her simply shining a light in my eyes and telling me to go buy medication over the counter. I explained to her that I have severe seasonal allergies and this heavily affects my eyes. (Redness, Itchy, Mucous, Grey ring forming around iris etc). Typical over the counter meds do not work for me as I have built up a resistance to them over the years. She still proceeded to disregards my concerns and discharged me stating the doctor recommended no eye drops at all. The eye drops I requested are strong and should be prescribed carefully so I understood the no for that. But to say I donu2019t need any prescription eye drops when Iu2019ve already showed you what I am currently taking is prescription strengthu2026.It doesnu2019t make sense. No im not looking at the situation from a bias perspective. I say that because I literally went to St Vincentu2019s, explained the same thing to them as I did here and received a RX for prescription grade eye drops as requested; while only being there for 1 hour instead of 3. Iu2019ve already reached out to hospital customer relations to file a complaint. If that is not handled accordingly I will look into filing a discrimination lawsuit. All I needed was a prescription grade medical RX for my allergies. If I canu2019t get what Iu2019m asking for fine, but to not prescribe anything when I clearly need help just shows lack of empathy and concern for patients. The doctor at St. Vincentu2019s took the time to actually dilate and examine my eyes, in addition to prescribing the eyes drops I needed with a sample bottle. If my request were truly unfavorable, I wouldnu2019t have been able to go to another doctor and get exactly what I was asking for.

Really need to do better ! Waiting two hours plus to be seen while in pain is ridiculous they send the students to do your IVs in the hard work while all the doctors just walk around and laugh and play and enjoy free time, the students donu2019t know what they are doing taking 30 more minutes just to set you up and then end up having to go get the doctor to still ask questions, Iu2019ve had the same experience both times Iu2019ve been there. They donu2019t take your pain serious. Itu2019s really sad. ud83eudd26ud83cudffeu200du2640ufe0f

Was in hospital for a few weeks due to surgery from cancer and then my intestines had a rip so more surgery. The nurses are great there . I have my chart and I need to find answers about my wound yet dr never replies to my messages so donu2019t understand why Iu2019m told to contact him that way . I feel like my surgeon could be more caring wound is not healing .
