The staff at Southwestern Eye Center (Drew O'Neal) needs training in customer service skills.nShe is very skilled in RUDENESS, and blatant prejudice. I have been a patient for 5 years and never had a problem with the staff until today. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I requested to speak with her manager and she stated she was the manager, which was a lie. I am still waiting for a manager call from Southwestern Eye Center. I will update my review when and if I get a call.

Southwest Eye center is the worst medical Service I have ever had. The billing department is unreachable, they double billed my visit after 6 months the visit. My Insurance allowed $196 for the visit. The southwest eye center charged me 2 time $410 total $820. I called the number on the billing statement, it goes straight to the voicemail. No one answer phone call. Plus, I was told my produce was approved by me insurance after 3 visits by southwest eye center, the day before the produce, they asked me to pay $5000 before the surgery. So I wasted 3 paid visits and 2 months time, I had to go to different medical center to start over agin,

I was very nervous about my eye appointment, but Miriam Melo, the technician, was absolutely wonderful. She explained everything and was so encouraging. Dr, Green was also great. I left feeling much better about everything, due to the skill and kindness of both of these people. Thank you so much!

Liars and cheaters.. was told everything is covered for annual eye exam and prescription check for contacts while making the appt. My insurance card was checked and processed before appt to make sure my co pay is zero dollars. I made sure to do that due to prior experience of surprise charges at the end. During exam, I am told that contacts fitting is an extra dollar, u201cthat insurance will not be covered. They knew I am coming only for contact prescription renewal and then claim that the appt was made by a call center so they are not responsible for what was told. Spoke to the front desk, who is very unhelpful. All they had to offer was reschedule. I have taken time off work to do this and am losing revenue for the lost time, and they donu2019t even offer an apology.nAvoid this place as it will not take any responsibility for billing. You are on your own.

Avoid this practice. I am not saying avoid Dr. Campion but avoid this practice. Dr Campion does excellent work.nnThe business of managing the practice and the rules in place along with poor communication on the administrative side is the reason you will want to go elsewhere if your insurance allows. After waiting several weeks for an appointment, I was denied the appointment because the practice's billing department was not open and the front desk would not take the letter I brought to show that my HRA had sent them the funds for my surgery. They also did not recognize my vision insurance which I later confirmed that they are an in-network provider.nnThis sloppiness along with wait time average of an hour to be seen is why you need to go elsewhere. I have experienced so much stress. I have been told that I don't have insurance, (I did), I was told I had not paid my deductible, (I had), and then I was denied a refraction appointment, covered under vision insurance, because, well, I don't know why because the HRA and BCBS had been in touch with the practice since the surgery date.nnOur insurance broker called the front desk and she said they were rude to her also. They could not confirm that they realized the insurance was accepted by the practice.nnIf you have a choice, go elsewhere. You will save long wait times and hopefully engage with a practice with smart rules, not ones intended to torture the patient.
