Sent my dad home sick with flu A, fever over 100, 300lb man unable to lift himself up at all, for me to take care of while I also have influenza a! And now once again, he is sick, they don't know with what, they assume a virus, he's still 300lbs, and they sent him back home completely unable to lift himself, and for me alone to take care of. And best of all, the doctor told me he was fine, to come home, so I had no idea how weak he was, and just had to lift him from one wheelchair to another! How does this hospital even get away with this! I really love how some of the doctors don't even speak good enough English to communicate about a patient, and get angry when you need them to repeat something. They obviously do not care about people, and they really don't care about the family members that are going to get hurt caring for the patient they sent home unable to care for themselves at all.

Went in pre surgeon order. Was treated so poorly that I would rather drive an hour away than go back . Even the week before, when I had emergency surgery, the worst experience ever. I've spent my time in this hospital over 7 years ago it has gone so downhill . Pics below show the room I was in the cockrouch that was dead on the floor . Do better for real. How are you not cleaning the rooms? I didn't bring bugs. I don't want to leave with them . The overall difference is shocking . I had spent months there n weeks before and not sure what is going on . My daughter recently had surgery here, and the experience was as positive as it could be. The team was fantastic! The attendants kept us posted with news, the nurses were kind and caring, the anesthesia team- in particular Skip, whos friendly, upbeat and caring demeanor helped keep my daughter calm during a scary time, and finally the surgeon Dr. Riedinger, who provided excellent care and information about what was happening. Our experience with the hospital was great, and I would highly recommend it.

They do not work hard to provide the highest quality of care. Iu2019m convinced this place is only interested in collecting organs, tissue samples, and blood samples for research. They removed a 2 cm mass from my best friend, cut him open in 6 spots for this. They said it was cancer prior to arrival, thatu2019s why he let them sign him up for surgery. But upon further questioning before surgery they had no clue what it was, when it would be discarded, or if it would even be discarded. They asked to remove extra tissue and blood for research, yet couldnu2019t directly answer any questions we had about the surgery. When we asked how long it would take pathology to find out, there was no answer. We asked to keep said removed body part, that was a hard no. u201cNeeded for researchu201d The lady also added that this hospital has the largest u201cdonatedu201d organ bank in the country. He was put in a faulty bed when we first got here, multiple nurses stated it need to be switched because it was so broken but no one switched it. Multiple nurses laughed about how u201ceverythingu201d was broken in the hospital. When going through surgery, that is not comforting. Honestly, nothing was. No information on procedures, itu2019s freezing cold in here, the nurses obviously do not care. Multiple calls ignored for a long duration of time, stated they would empty piss jugs, and walked away without doing that. We asked for a warm blanket, and Laura came in saying she u201cwasnu2019t going to bug us anymoreu201d, when we called for her, we wanted her to bug us. She also prioritized ordering her lunch over fixing the machine attached to his legs to prevent blood clots. Walked in, throws an ice pack at him, walked out and ordered her food. (She couldu2019ve hit him in the abdomen) There was blood on the chair that I had to clean up myself. Gross. They were supposed to bring clear liquids for him to eat and itu2019s been hours since that. They had his bill ready before his recovery room. The environment is not clean. Hazardous waste all over. Especially in the bathroom. I can expect more to happen, Iu2019ll update this review.nnIsnu2019t it illegal to have all side rails up on a hospital bed? Isnu2019t that a restraint?nnOverall, what the hell do you guys have people paying for? This is not a sterile environment, nor somewhere good for people to heal.

Took great care of my daughteru2019s friend. The staff were helpful to visit and direct us.nnGet your parking ticket validated at the front counter when you check in to visit for free. You can park on the street for free after 7PM, but the parking lot is often easier and more convenient. We pulled into the parking lot just at the end of Bostwick Ave NE north of Michigan St NE.nnThere was a box with things to do while in the waiting room. Be aware they recommend taking the items home and not returning them to the box. Be sure to leave the items for those who need them.
