I am very disappointed with Summit Physician Services. I needed to see a dermatologist and called to make an appointment with Dr. Greg Forsyth. The only appointment the had available was in a month. I agreed to the appointment and confirmed with the secretary that they did participate with my insurance. When I showed up to my appointment, they took me to an exam room. 5 minutes later a secretary came in and told me that they didn't participate with my insurance, that if i wanted to be seen I had to pay cash!!!! What a waste of my time! Why would they wait until I go to the appointment to tell me they don't accept my insurance? Secondly, how dare they try to charge me for the visit? It was their mistake, why should I have to pay for it? I have a baby that has special needs (CHD) and I had to arrange a nurse to stay with him while I went to the appointment. It is very frustrating when people think that other people's lives are not as important or valuable as theirs is, because they are a Doctor or work in a medical office. I wish they understood how hard it was for me to arrange care for my son and be able to make it to the visit.
