My son and I both had sore throats and body aches. Went in and got tested for strep. I had a positive test, he did not. They told me it was because he had a stronger immune system. We came home with suggested remedies and an antibiotic for me. Not too long after getting home he spiked a fever and vomited a large amount. When I called the next day for an antibiotic prescription, I was told I would have to come back. Took him to his family care Dr instead and guess what!? Strep test was positive. They said 1 in 5 rapid tests are negative and they would have redone the test and considered the symptoms and that I was positive. Just wanted to provide some feedback going forward. My son has been in extreme pain from a bad judgement call on their part. I still have a 3 star because they were nice/sympathetic even if they were wrong.

Receptionist turned me away needlessly. I wish I got her name. My 18 year old son has autism and is on my insurance card. Because he didnu2019t have his. ID on him she turned him away. He was very sick and I showed where he is on my card and covered. She refused to help. Got home and my wife even called to speak to manager and they tried claiming he was not turned away, when my wife asked to speak to a manager he said she wasnu2019t there. When she asked for a call back he said he would have her call l back and she never did. Reading the reviews I guess I should have known better as this place consistently gets horrible reviews with their receptionist area. I will never visit here again and I recommend nobody does, read all of the poor service history.

The nurse Britt , is extremely rude & unprofessional, it was so bad that I took out my phone to record. When I asked her name, she refused, then gave it only when the front desk secretary told me it. Very childish she was , she proceeded to speak badly of me to her coworker Oscar, Oscar didn't seem to want to be involved & remained professional though. I no longer felt comfortable with Britt working with us or our child who we were having seen, after that a kind Doctor took over & we were able to successfully get our daughter the help she needed. I am requesting a phone call from Corporate, whoever is above Marissa Hernandez, because according to Britt , Marissa won't do nothing!. I am taking these concerns to the board of nurses as well in the morning. This is a great place other then for Britt the nurse who clearly shouldn't be working with the public. Britt is HIGHLY argumentative, unprofessional & aggressive. Noone should be treated this way especially when they are simply trying to get help for their child.

When you actually receive an invoice for a visit, which for me has not been the case every time, the prices are very high for never actually seeing a doctor (MD) you see a NP usually.The invoice directs you to Athena Health portal for payment with a reference number to pay. Athena Health doesn't show any records only a message that states, you need to contact the provider to link your records.The provider says, they don't link your records and they don't accept payment through Athena Health even though the invoice they mail you states otherwise. Should you wish to make a payment by phone, they can assist with that however, they have a surcharge for cards of 3.75% which makes using my HSA card obsolete as they will deny it with a surcharge.Also, I have really good insurance and they don't cover much at this clinic. I wish the U of U Urgent Care had more comprehensive hours of operation for the Tooele area and surrounding.

I don't recommed going here.. I was in Tooele from out of town and it was in the evening on a weekend and they were the only urgent care open. After insisting it was too late to send the prescriptions to the local pharmacy they said they'd send them somewhere closer to home as we were leaving that evening. The next day when I went to pick up the prescriptions, they'd sent them to the walmart pharmacy in Tooele. So then I had to call them to get prescriptions resent to the correct place, which they seemed reluctant to do. Finally got that taken care of for the bill to come and the bill itself was fine except that they give you an option to pay online but you can't actually pay online. After getting tired of their system not working I finally called in to see what was up and to pay over the phone only to then have a fee for paying over the phone by card.
