The emergency room is a nightmare, please be aware. An er is supposed to be quick, they will have you waiting in a hallway for DAYS. A family member of mine is currently in their care, they had 0 rooms so they put her in a HALLWAY for two days she was in a uncomfortable hallway in pain with the rest of the others waiting. This is shocking because UT health is excellent ive been there many times no issues until i find out about that emergency room. I understand theres not enough rooms but theres people in that emergency room crying in pain for hours not being helped. They're over crowded and dont know what to do with people. As far as testing and transplants literally anything else they're good.

I am purely reviewing the campus layout. It is not accessible for those that need assistance, wheelchairs, strollers, or any other mode of movement. We were walking, trying to walk around the campus for a graduation with our stroller, and there were so many steps and the accessibility ramps and ramps were not clearly labeled and often inaccurately labeled. Parking is very difficult here. And can be very confusing. Be very careful near Goldu2019s gym, they ticket there a lot.

Was referred to Dr. Robinson for care back in Jan. 5 months has passed and I havenu2019t met him yet nor received a care plan to follow.nnThe communication with the REI department was terrible,(mainly the follow up calling). Also, trying to secure an appointment was a hassle. I tried My Chart and calling the clinic without a successful attempt of securing an in person appointment.

The answering service has no professionalism, no guidance or respect for sick patients calling. They seem to hire anyone that can answer a phone.

My husband is needing more solid food to help his bowels function better after his kidney surgery but nobody is even listening to him in his need. He is really wanting to help himself get better but how do you expect a patient to get better when nobody wants to help him in getting him solid foods like mac and cheese or mashed potatoes. The only one helping him in any way is Josh. Why is what my husband saying going in one ear and out the other with these people. When the patient is driven to tears that he is wanting to help himself by eating firmer foods the Doctor's are failing at when it comes to truly listening to the patient. None of his staff are on the same page at all. The Doctor's put him down as a girl on his medical files which is a big red flag there as well.nnUpdate as of 8-18-2023nHere we go again. My husband has been in the ER for over 14 hours and has not been given any medicine or information of any sort as to what is going on with his severe hip pain. He is crying in pain and y'all are sweeping him under the rug and ridding him so you don't have to deal with him. That shows bad character and horrible care on the image of UT Health. Before sending him back to a rehab center tell him what is going on with his pain and what can be done about it. He is left in severe pain and that is very careless and cold. He is there to be given help not treated disrespectfully.
