I am a former worker there at the Jax. Fl. location. RPBH was seriously a grossly mismanaged facility to work at. I pray that the entire corporation of UHS is not the actual blueprint for all UHS facilities. Training for staff non existent, security for staff and patients also non existent. High attrition rate. Theleadership has not operated under any true best practices or bench marks in a while.. It's shows in who is in leadership and how the place functions on a day to day bases. The Jax. Location really has potential. I did my time there, tried to stay...but the nursing Director who was recently hired was very unprofessional towards me...and this is who represents UHS as the Jacksonville Florida Nursing Director? Suggestions/ Concerns remove current management proper training of all employees. Overall I learned this company functions on recovering from being reactive based on lawsuits, high turnover rates with workers....and does not practice from what Ibelieve to be as a proactive approach. All of the money that is spent on having a training class every 2 weeks...because people quit once they get a sneak peak of the chaos on the units...so it's a continuous revolving door..of untrained workers.....I was very disappointed to leave...I absolutely will not work under leadership that is less than marginal and speak to me in a manner that is abusive in nature. So does Corporate actually thinks patients are being given 100% by this company when they come into the facility for help at probably their most vulnerable state?Leadership there tends to be very spiteful and quid pro quo when workers speak out or quit. They try to put you as a DNR ( do not return). You always work alone as a nurse without a lunch break or back up staff....it is dangerous and unsafe for workers and patients. I am a seasoned healthcare provider who has extensive experience with the mental health system , however working at the Jax location for the first time in my career made me question my very personal safety and the retainment of my licensure. Therefore it is to my sincere belief had I remained employed there under the current Leadership would have in fact placed my personal safety and licensure in eminent danger of being lost. I would absolutely welcome Corporate to reach out to speak to me regarding my experience there.
