I brought my 93 year old mother after she had a car accident. After sitting for hours, they brought her in and found she broke her back. While I understand the people in the emergency room see all kinds of patients all day long, they definitely didn't care about her or the other elderly woman who was sitting and violently vomiting next to us. My mother ended up being admitted. Nursing care was sporadic at best. She said she was hungry and hours later delivered her a small jello cup. The release process was no less timely. We sat and sat and after doing the paperwork, we had to find a wheelchair and take her out ourselves. This hospital is the closest to our home however we are having heart attacks, we will seek another health provider option. Just terrible. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the woman who was walking around with a laptop, explained the process, and seemed to want to make it better. I wish I could remember her name. Otherwise, I recommend going somewhere else unless you are at death's door.

Leominster hospital has someone in their yard using the loudest landscaping equipment at 5am even though the noise ordinance is 7am. Very inconsiderate of the community around them.

A recent experience highlighted concerns regarding the quality of care at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Leominster, MA. My fiancee presented with severe stomach pain after being directed to the hospital from Urgent Care. Upon arrival around 5 PM, she was placed in the Emergency Room but did not receive timely medical attention despite experiencing increasing discomfort, dizziness, and vomiting.Throughout her wait, which extended to over eight hours, she inquired multiple times about when she would be seen by a doctor. Unfortunately, the nursing staff could not provide a clear timeline for her treatment. This situation raises questions about patient prioritization in emergency care settings, as it is essential for hospitals to address patients' needs promptly and compassionately.

Very professional team and caring for the patient. Yes the ER Dept need some new equipment and transport stretcher to fit a 6'3 patient. Need more staff to make nursing coverage better and safer for all shifts and not so worked. Management and Board need to pay attention to patient needs and newer equipment. Probably nothing will change.......

I went in and it was really busy so I knew I would have to wait. However I went in with breathing issues and an abnormal EKG from urgent care. Three hours later, blood work and x-rays done, but still sitting in lobby without seeing a doctor. I approached the staff because as a diabetic, I could tell my blood sugar was low. They didn't care and did not help get it checked. Finally after another 30 min, I just left and drove myself home. Good thing I did because my blood sugar was well into the danger zone. Do yourselves a favor and if you can, drive to Worcester or Gardner before Leominster Hospital kills you!!!
