My stay at this hospital was ridiculous. I will say that the nurses on the maternity floor are wonderful. Anyways, I came in for a check Because I was bleeding during pregnancy and got told it was my water that broke.... Got admitted,I was in the hospital for five days being induced stopping induction restarting giving me medicine to soften my cervix. Passing a blood clot the size of my palm and bleeding a lot of red blood being told it's from a cervix check (in reality it was from my placenta starting to detach.) they wanted to send me home because they started to question if my water was actually broken after they told me it was. I expressed to them I was uncomfortable with going home after everything and the Dr that was on said she'd send me to unity for extra measure and when I went to unity I was induced because my babies heart rate was decelarting and I was bleeding. absolutely horrible experience.

I recent had a medial emergency in where I was taken by ambulance to United Memorial in Batavia. From the moment I was brought to the ER to the moment I was discharged 5 days later, everyone from the nurses, doctors, surgeons, and even the cleaning staff and employees that delivered food, I was treated with respect and care. Everyone was there for my recovery and to ensure I was comfortable and understood everything that was going on. This is my first experience with any real medical emergency, and to say that I was scared was an understatement. Being away from family and my children was rough, let alone worrying about the outcome of my health. Everyone made me feel supported and like it would be okay. Even the night nurses who came to check on me and swap medications were always so wonderful, answering my questions and helping me get through my ordeal. I would recommend this hospital to anyone in my life, and appreciate all they've done for me on my road to recovery.

I have never had such a pleasant experience with ANY doctors or hospitals! Would give 10 stars if I could. I avoid being seen until I can't anymore, and was shaking as I walked in the door. Had I known how fantastic the emergency department staff were here I would have gone weeks ago! From the time I walked in the door until I left was no more than 30 minutes. I was treated with kindness and respect by every staff member I came into contact with from reception to discharge. They did not make me feel rushed, belittled, or uncomfortable for a second. The staff all seemed to be happy and passionate about their career, which the medical field SEVERELY lacks these days. Next time my family or I need emergency medical care I will not hesitate to go back. It's uplifting to see compassion and kindness in the medical field and people who chose it for the right reasons vs to collect a paycheck. I would like to give a sincere and heart felt thank you to the emergency department staff. u2764ufe0f Some of my faith in humanity has been restored.
