I called to schedule an appointment on 4/8/2025 due to being sick with a sinus cold for almost 2 weeks, the office staff had to send a message to the provider before scheduling me. When I received a call back 2 hrs later I was told that I would need to take a covid test before being scheduled. As it is my right to do so, I declined the testing. I told the clinical staff member that I would just go to urgent care instead. That same day I went to urgent care, upon the CRNP entering the exam room she proceeded in telling me that her and fellow staff member were just laughing about the UPMC team messages going back and forth between the PCPu2019s office and the UPMC urgent care about me. This is by no means good patient care at all. At the least perhaps just require masking if a patient should decline covid testing. I clearly needed an antibiotic and that was the end result due to it being nothing more then a sinus infection. I will not recommend these providers to any one. They are more concerned about testing rather than putting patients needs first, very unprofessional.

Dr. Araujo has been great with our newborn. She is patient, welcoming and kind. She's a mother herself as well. As new parents we've had a lot of questions and concerns and Dr. Araujo always takes the time to answer all of them. If you're looking for a family Dr. she's a great choice.

Just had that a really strange interaction with Dr McDonald there and I am not going back. Never had a doctor reprimand me like I'm a child instead of leveling with me as an adult. They provide a service I gave negative feedback so he argued with me during my appointment. Even insulted my previous doctor with a curse word.

So they can reschedule your appt for another day without verifying it's ok, but they can't work you in 2 more months later. Not very helpful.
