I cannot say enough about the incredible oncology team at Valley Regional Hospital. Dr. Sullivan and his team are truly exceptional. Leslie, Kristen 1 and Kristen 2, and Melissa at the front desk. From the very beginning of my journey, they have gone above and beyond, providing not just outstanding medical care but also unwavering kindness, compassion, and support. Every time I go in for a follow-up, it feels like visiting my second family. They take the time to listen, to reassure, and to make sure every patient feels cared for on both a medical and personal level. Their dedication is unmatched, and I am beyond grateful for each and every one of them. If you or a loved one ever need oncology care, know that you will be in the best hands possible with this team.

Went in for lower abdominal pain. Everyone was very professional and caring. I can't say enough about my nurse Colleen. She was top notch. Hopefully I don't need to return anytime soon, but everyone there made me feel at home and seemed to be very competent with their work.

Iu2019ve been sick for a very long time and have been misdiagnosed, put on ppi meds going on 4 or 5 yrs maybe more. Iu2019ve had to find my results on my portal and totally not really understanding what Iu2019m looking at, try to call my pcp doctor or the doctor or nurse at general surgery to find out what Iu2019m actually looking at and what my actual diagnoses is and what it means and what the next steps are.nI mean I feel gaslighted and neglected and misinformed and looked over because I have mental health issues that are only getting worse because of my health issues, not the other way around. This is stressful to be treated as if your symptoms are in your head and are sent to the psych nurse because they think your symptoms shouldnu2019t be caused by the actual diaphragmatic hernia because itu2019s small or the Gastric antral gland mucosa with nonspecific reactive gastropathy and the lipase and doctor Iu2019ve never seen before at my pcp office or maybe seen once in my life is telling me to go to ER instead of just ordering blood work herself, gives me antibiotics for something I do not have and tries to give me more steroids, I already owe them cause theyu2019ve used up all my insurance instead of sending me to specialist, and then on top of that refusing to answer any questions I have.nWhen I do go to ER finally , Iu2019m told I possibly have mono and sends me on my way. Call my doc office and have questions about mono and they send me to have the mono test and guess what, not mono.nMy blood work is all over the place for a long time and still nothing, yet yu2019all want $200 that I donu2019t have cause Iu2019m on disability and this economy sucks every penny I have and yu2019all are taking advantage of people on Medicare and Medicaid.nI will be taking myself and my family else where for now on. I already have the paperwork to do so.nI would never recommend this place and I remember when I first moved here people warning me about valley regional, calling it Death Valley and now I know why.nIu2019m appalled and my family is appalled at how they handle patients and disregard their suffering and their families suffering because they decide to refuse to give you any answers which tell me they should have found and fixed my issues long ago and they know it.nnUpdate: I changed doctors. Keady Family Practice has went above and beyond to figure out my diagnosis. My gastroenterologist at Dartmouth Hitchcock has also went above and beyond. I now know Iu2019m iron deficient anemic, along with the high count blood in my u201ctmiu201d but Iu2019m sure I donu2019t have to spell it out for you. Plus the blood I have been peeing for the last 2 years that came out of no where. I am being sent to a urologist/gynecologist at Dartmouth.nTests and referrals that shouldu2019ve have and couldu2019ve been done a long time ago but werenu2019t and now Iu2019ve lost patches of my hair because of my heath. Had to shave my hair off so I wouldu2019nt look too weird. Very traumatizing when youu2019ve never had hair issues and your hair was down to your waist.nAlso, Iu2019m told that this is definitely not in my head. This is something Iu2019ll have to talk about with my actual therapist since theyu2019ve caused me more trauma..Barrett sent me to a psych nurse that says sheu2019s not there to hear my story just to give me meds. No thank you.nThe hospital itself and the staff that sign you in and for labs and such is not so bad. Just donu2019t bother going to the valley regional primary care office. A couple of staff in the office are really nice and good.

It is very unfortunate that a bad experience at their urgent care has left me questioning the integrity of the hospital. They didn't take any responsibility for the mistakes they made. If they can't own smaller mistakes how will they handle larger mistakes? After looking at some of the other reviews I am really glad I decided to go to an ER up north instead of Valley Regional after the urgent care experience. It is too bad because there are some great departments there (physical therapy, mammography, and the lab).
