I feel compelled to share my experience so other women donu2019t go through what I did. I came to this office seeking help for severe menopausal symptoms u2014 extreme hot flashes, sleepless nights, joint pain, the whole gamut. What I ended up with was three appointments, multiple co-pays, and zero actual care.nnThe first visit lasted about 10 minutes and ended with a request for bloodwork. Fair enough u2014 I understand wanting a baseline. But then I had to schedule a second appointment just for a pap smear u2014 not with the doctor, but with a nurse, who also refused to discuss or prescribe hormone treatment, even though they are qualified to do so.nnBy the third appointment u2014 a brief phone call u2014 I finally spoke to Dr. Kashyap again expressing my urgency with needing some HRT. I was shocked when she asked me what treatment plan I wanted. Thatu2019s why I came to see a specialist u2014 because I don't know all the options. No explanation was given about the different types of hormone therapy, no risks were outlined, and certainly no recommendations were offered until I told her that I guess I needed the patch and progesterone (this is based off of what friends in my age group have received). She refused to prescribe anything unless I got another mammogram u2014 even though I had one just barely over a year ago. Well when I called to get a mammogram at the only place my insurance is offered, they were scheduling over 2 months out! When I explained that my appt. was set up, they still refused to send in the prescription. I was in tears. Anyone going through tough menopause symptoms, I'm sure can relate!nnMeanwhile, I continue to suffer, without support, answers, or a shred of relief. It honestly felt more like a process designed to generate billing than to help a patient in distress.nnThankfully, I found a real GYN the very next day at Empowered who saw me immediately, offered compassionate care, and prescribed treatment before I even left the office. Thatu2019s how it should be.nnIf youu2019re looking for menopause support, look elsewhere. This office showed no sympathy, no urgency, and no understanding of the very real suffering women experience during this stage of life.

I absolutely love Dr. Kashyap and her office! After seeing five OBGYN doctors in Las Vegas regarding my perimenopause symptoms, Dr. Kashyap is the only doctor who actually listened to me and did not dismiss my concerns. She was able to address my needs and get my hormones back on track. She has a deep skill set, and is truly there for her patientu2019s best interest. I love that she is on top of the latest data and research in womenu2019s health. Her staff is very kind and attentive. I am thrilled that I found Dr. Kashyap and have been recommending her to every one of my friends! Sheu2019s a true gem!

I went here for care because it was close to home and also on my insurance. I found the staff to be occasionally competent. Then they did not help me during a crisis in 2022 and I had to find a new provider. On top of that, Dr Kashyap is extremely condescending and judgmental when communicating with you, and itu2019s not a language barrier. Then they moved miles away to a business office in the District and thereu2019s no parking, after that they started pushing cosmetic services quite hard. The whole place feels inauthentic and not geared toward the care of womenu2019s health. I always preferred a female doctor but Dr Kashyap disappoints in all areas. They even screwed up my prescription and never communicated about the issue with me until it was too late to do anything about it. Then they sent me a letter firing me as soon as I expressed my discomfort with Dr Kashyapu2019s lack of professional and compassionate care.

Prior to leaving this review, I had 5 years of unpleasant experiences with this office. I only returned out of convenience and even that is no longer the case.nnThey moved offices and when I called to make the appointment, I do feel that it could've been helpful to mention that, but whatever.nnWent for a pregnancy test via urine screen. I already pretty much knew my results but needed them documented. Was told would be 3-5 minutes and results were instant. After 30 minutes of waiting, they finally let me pee in a cup, but then I had to wait another HOUR anxiously in the waiting room. They turned it into an office visit, which was never explained on the phone. (Probably to bill more) The office made me so anxious that my blood pressure shot up pretty high. They were pretty insensitive considering what I was there for.nnEverytime I'm there, I feel like I'm at a used car lot. Like I'm always trying to be sold something, given a prescription, etc. I always see pharmaceutical reps there at office, and it just is off putting to me.nnWon't be returning under any circumstances this time.

Dr and staff are so warm and friendly. She is incredibly knowledgeable and big on education. She explains everything. I see her specifically for menopause and she is brilliant. Highly recommend.
