Up until my car accident, would have been 5 stars, as for routine care Taryn Bishop was excellent. However, after my initial exam, she had advised that I call if I needed an extension to be out from work, and I had been trying to get ahold of her for 7 days. Every day I called, sometimes twice a day, someone different answered and I was told time and time again, We'll leave a note for the doctor and someone will call you later today. No one ever returned my calls, and I went the whole week out from work without a note. After the weekend, I called again today (Monday) to still try and get a note from last week. I ended up having to go to the hospital yesterday, where I promptly received an excuse from work for this week, and an additional pain medication. However, I now need a prior authorization from my primary provider in order to get it. After being on hold for 20 minutes, I was frustrated and in pain, and I told her what I needed and that it was very urgent, as I am currently having painful muscle spasms. She became short with me and cut me off, and placed me on hold again when I was trying to explain what I needed. Not the patient care I would expect after being in a car accident, lost my car, unable to work, and have no guidance for a treatment plan at all. Thankfully I got a referral to a specialist from the emergency doctor I saw. I will not be returning to Ocean State Primary Care.

The wait was incredibly long. But, they only had two rooms being used. The acoustics in the waiting room made the noise unbearable ( I had the worst headache going in there...and so...) but the treatment was very good. The PA Cheryl was quick, thorough, compassionate and made this terrible pain go away with her med treatment. Very much worth the wait.

I was happy to get in this morning and had very little wait time before I was seen. Everyone was helpful and attentive, from the receptionist,(whose name I didnu2019t get), to the young man (Jared) who took my vitals, and Cheryl, the PA, who diagnosed me. She was thorough and I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. All in all it was a good experience, and I know I will soon be feeling better.

Very unhappy considering I left about 12 messages for the doctor to get back to me and he has not gotten back to me in over a month. I had significant back surgery where I had her needed discriminals and I am still in a lot of pain I had to go for a second opinion and the doctor basically has let me lay human pain for the last three months. Very uncompassionate and when I went to my new neurosurgeon he put the put me on a non narcotic pain medicine. Still no phone calls the new neurosurgeon has a personality of a rock havenu2019t been in yet but Dr Christafi seems to think that everything is just fine but heu2019s not the one walking around with BULDGUNG DISC in his back. Absolutely pathetic and I really thought the world of the doctor when I met him and after this I forget it! Horrible patient care!

Just met my new primary care person, Deborah Furtado. She is over the top amazing. Not sure I've ever met a physician who is so observant and displays this level of interest and concern. She is actually a PhD Nurse Practitioner and she clearly has the blood of a nurse in her. I know she is there to help me. I'm thrilled!
