Everyone is so nice at the Urgent Care Walkin. I was so sick and the young lady behind the desk where I checked in took me in faster than the others that were waiting. I was in terrible condition and she recognized it right away. In fact, I had to be taken to UConn Emergency Room by Ambulance. Excellent doctor and Aids at Hartford Health Care, and I'm glad I met them.

I went here a few months ago to have them tell me what I already knew, because I needed a prescription for a cream. The visit ended up costing me $234 just to get a $20 cream at CVS. But hey, the doctor was nice as were the staff and I got what I needed. In and out within 15 minutes basically. A month or so later I tried calling them because while my condition had improved, I needed a refill because I had run out and was still dealing with it. They never picked up. I left them a message with my name and number and explained the situation (I had recently moved here and had to find a new PCP so my doctor's appointment was still months out), and never received a call back.nnI understand you are a business, but it would have cost you very little time and effort to do the human thing of refilling my prescription so that I can feel better. It's not like it was even actual medication, it was a cream so there definitely was no concern about me faking a common condition just for some cream. But because there wasn't another $234 visit in it for them, I never heard back and have had to rely on weaker store bought creams and am still dealing with this issue as I wait for an appointment with a PCP that is still over a month away.nnJust really gross to be reminded you are not a human being to some people and just a positive number on their financials.

I am not one to go to the doctor unless itu2019s absolutely necessary. I had the worst sore throat ever and was barely able to speak.nThe woman at the front desk took my license, insurance card - and did the rest for me. I was in and out well within an hour!nThe care continued in the same way from nurse to doctor and was outstanding and so very appreciated!

I'm always very impressed when I visit the Hartford GoHealth in Avon, CT. The team is consistently excellent at being easy to schedule appointments, listening to the challenge, diagnosing, and recommending remedies to feel better. The staff have a gift of empathy. I left my recent appointment telling my husband how impressed I always am with the facility. This urgent care is my go to when my family is ill or hurt.

Everyone I interacted with during my time there in the emergency department were kind, respectful, and good listeners, from the security personnel to the intake, the doctors, and the nurse. They also were patient, answered all of my questions, and I felt genuinely cared for. Very happy with my experience despite the painful situation that brought me in. I was scared and nervous about going to emergency but they calmly reassured me and Iu2019m grateful that I decided to go.
